Hyundai Solaris was first shown in 2010, and after that it became very popular in our country. Its name was also invented for our country; in a number of other countries it is called Verna, Accent and Ay25. Solaris is the fourth generation of the Accent. The second generation of this model was produced at the Taganrog Automobile Plant, and due to the price-quality ratio, the car gained wide popularity. Of course, reliability and inexpensive maintenance also played a huge role in the popularity of the Accent. The third generation, called Verna, was also very popular, but unsuccessful marketing, plus the too high price, did not allow the masses to appreciate the car at its true worth. They tried twice to launch it into mass sales, but alas, nothing worked. The fourth generation was shown in China in 2010, since China is the main consumer of Hyundai cars, this model was developed for them, especially since they are made at factories in Beijing.
In Russia, Solaris began to be assembled near St. Petersburg. Even then it was known that a new mass-produced car would be assembled at the plant. The Hyundai company has developed its strategy for selling this model in Russia. First of all, it was necessary to change the name, since Accent or Verna could cause confusion among buyers. Initially, they wanted to call the car Ai25, but all the names with the Ai index were faceless and did not stick in people’s heads, hiding their individuality. Therefore, it was decided to hold a national competition, based on the results of which the name of this model was chosen. The Solaris package included two sixteen valve engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, power 107 and 123 horsepower. The cars were also equipped with four gearboxes: 4-speed, 6-speed automatic and 5-speed, 6-speed manual. Headlights on Solaris were installed both with and without a lens. Light has always left much to be desired, but it directly affects traffic safety. Therefore, the driver needs to know which lamps are installed on his car.

Which lamp is suitable for Solaris with lenses (projector headlights)?
60/60 9005L+ lamps are installed at the factory:
- 60/60 is the power of the low and high beams in watts,
- 9005 - base type,
- L+ - long-life, increased resource.
Instead of designating the base type “9005”, manufacturers more often use “HB3”: these are the same L-shaped light bulbs. Unfortunately, their choice for Solaris is small.
Please note that the same bulb is used for low and high beam.

Workflow Description
Let's look at how to replace the low beam lamp on a Hyundai Solaris:
Preparation
As a rule, no special tools are required. However, you should prepare fabric gloves, a piece of clean rags and alcohol to wipe the flask. This is important because it gets very hot during operation. Hand marks turn into dark spots, worsening the parameters of the light flux.
Step-by-step instruction
Procedure:
- open the hood;
- turn counterclockwise to remove the cover from the rear side of the head light compartment;
- disconnect the block with wires from the base;
- press the spring clamp, disengage it from the hook and lift it up;
- remove the burnt out lamp and insert a new one;
- Reassemble in reverse order.
Important! The process is not difficult and is usually completed in 10 minutes. Care must be taken not to accidentally tear off the wires or break the bulb. It is recommended to immediately wipe it with alcohol, even if you have not touched it with bare hands - perhaps it was touched before in a store, warehouse, etc.
