Cabin filter

To do this you will need: small pliers, scissors, two screwdrivers, double-sided tape, Lomond Satin photo paper with a density of 280 g. Glossy paper cannot be used in this case. White scales for instruments can be easily found in full size on the Internet. All you have to do is print them on a color printer.
Removing the dashboard from its place will not be difficult; to do this, lower the steering column and unscrew the two screws that are located on top. The lower part sits on pistons, so you only need to apply a little force and the panel will come out of place. After this, all that remains is to disconnect the two connectors and all other work can be done at home, sitting comfortably at the table.
We remove the arrows using screwdrivers. Some people use a hair dryer for this, but as practice shows, after using it, chips may appear, so it is best to remove them in a cold state.
The tachometer needle may come out with a needle, but there is nothing wrong with that. In general, the arrows are easy to remove and just as easy to put back in place.

While warming up the car, set the coolant arrow to the middle position. Set the tachometer needle to the idle position. When degassing, the needle may move jerkily or not move at all. To do this, we remove the arrow and install it again, check, if something is wrong, then we do all the work again.
Installing the tachometer needle is a painstaking job, so be patient. There should be almost zero gas in the tank. This is a condition for correct installation of the gas tank arrow. Set the arrow to the zero position. First, the needle is strung to the half-tank position, it will gradually creep up to the upper or lower limiter, quickly remove it and put it back in place.
We do this until she starts running away. After this, you can confidently fix it to “zero”. The speedometer needle is set as necessary and we go out to measure the speed. To do this you will need another car. We remember how much the arrow indicates the speed incorrectly. We remove the panel itself, then the device and on its back we find the internal rotating part, use a screwdriver to press it so that it does not rotate with the arrow and make the necessary adjustments.

Increased clearance
The Accent cannot be called a squat car. The ground clearance of the car is quite high. However, the engine protection “eats” most of it. You can compensate for the ground clearance by installing gas-oil shock absorbers. In addition, such struts will improve the behavior of the car on sharp turns, saving it from leaning too much on its side.
An increase in ground clearance is made possible by attaching special spacers under the pillars, which are adopted from TagAZ cars. True, they should be slightly modified, namely, the existing holes should be drilled with a 12 mm drill. The spacers raise the car, and the protection stops striking the road when overcoming any obstacles.
Improved engine performance
After tuning the Hyundai Accent engine, experts advise to reflash the control unit. They explain this by saying that the Old Program will not show the improvements made at full capacity. But it’s better to entrust chip tuning to an experienced mechanic who can improve the efficiency and dynamics of the car.
Modern engines are controlled only electronically. The electronic control unit contains a special program that sets the behavior of the motor under different loads. Thus, by moving the peak torque to the low speed zone, you can significantly expand the operating range of the “heart” of the car.
Chip tuning of the Hyundai Accent also affects the operation of the automatic transmission (if you have a model with an automatic transmission).
