From the history of airbrushing
It is believed that the first example of painting created using the airbrush principle was found in Argentina. It was a cave painting dating back more than seven thousand years BC. That nameless artist used the bone of a large animal as an airbrush The modern stage of development of airbrushing began with the invention of a mechanical spray gun capable of spraying paint onto a surface. This device began to be used for the design of posters, signs, and art objects. Beginning in the last decade of the 19th century, the airbrush was used to straighten photographic cards and daguerreotypes.
Today, airbrushing is primarily associated with car styling.
The fashion for decorating cars with an airbrush appeared thanks to the growing popularity of racing sports. It all started very prosaically: the airbrush was used to apply license plates to racing cars.
Gradually, racing became a profitable and respectable sport, attracting the attention of more and more people. Racers began to have sponsors who wanted their company logo on the cars. All sorts of brand names, logos, and slogans began to appear on racing sports cars. A couple of years later, it became fashionable to decorate your racing car with various stripes and simple geometric designs. Well, then drawings appeared on cars. First on racing sports cars, and then on the cars of ordinary motorists. The fashion for such drawings came to Russia only in the 1980s. Today, airbrushing on a car is a relatively inexpensive and most popular tuning of cars and motorcycles.
Armor film
The market offers two main types of film: armor (polyurethane) and vinyl (PVC). The first is a separate topic. Armor film is used to protect the body of new or freshly painted cars. It can be transparent or matte transparent. This film has a very long service life (from 5 to 10 years) and provides good protection from external mechanical influence. The thickness of the polyurethane layer is about 200 microns. For comparison, the thickness of the factory paint coating on a modern car is about 120–150 microns. The work of covering with such a film is expensive, on average 160–180 thousand rubles in Moscow per car. In addition, installing such a film is more labor-intensive compared to gluing vinyl. This requires special professionalism.
Types of airbrushing
Plain - in this case, one main color of the picture is selected, which serves as the background. All details and small elements of the picture are drawn by changing shades of the same color.
Colored - as the name suggests, such drawings involve the use of the entire color spectrum. Such drawings look much brighter than monochrome airbrushing, but here it is important not to overdo it with the number of colors so that the drawing does not seem kitsch.
Interior about nature
The interior today welcomes everything that is “about nature”. These are materials, textures, shapes, and... the idea itself. The formation of new planets, the complex processes of interaction between the elements—the interior even talks about this now. And this is not just fashion, it is a deep human need. And not just to be closer to nature (as recently), but to be in the “thick of things” of everything that happens in nature. And metal, along with stone, ceramics and wood, turns out to be a multi-valued and fertile material. It is part of the ancient history of the planet, and it is “alive” because it changes under the influence of air (or, say, processing technologies such as etching, brushing, satin). At the same time, it is durable and meets another urgent human need - to feel protected. Ultimately, it provides psychological comfort.

Airbrush methods
Classical. This design is applied using an airbrush directly to the surface. This is the most complex, time-consuming and expensive method, since it requires not only very expensive equipment, but also the skill of a true artist.
Stencil. To apply a design to the hood of a car you will need a computer, a spray gun, a stencil and airbrush paints. With a couple of applications available to everyone, you can create a stencil that meets all your needs. Once the mold is ready, it is placed on the car and paint is applied. The drawing in this case will turn out to be quite simple, but with a sense of taste, here too you can do everything stylishly and effectively.
The stencil method of application is less demanding on execution technique
Car vinyl. This method, by and large, has nothing to do with airbrushing.
These methods have only one thing in common: as a result, you will get a drawing on the car. The essence of the method is that a special vinyl film is glued to the car. This method was initially used for advertising purposes: logos of various companies began to be printed on inexpensive film. After wrapping, the car turned into a mobile advertising stand. Motorists liked this method and now you can buy car vinyl with absolutely any pattern. You can wrap your car with vinyl yourself, or you can turn to professionals. In any case, it will cost much less than ordering airbrushing.
Summing up
The information presented above will help give the vehicle a completely new, unique appearance. This is an excellent opportunity to wrap your car yourself, as well as change the overall decor. The most important thing is to carry out such work in a clean, ventilated and spacious place so that during the process of painting or applying a film, no debris gets onto the surface of the car.

Airbrush styles
Classic - a three-dimensional drawing along with all the small elements, and the drawing is applied directly to the car. Pseudo-airbrushing is car vinyl, that is, car stickers. Today, every motorist has the opportunity to wrap his car in film. This not only looks beautiful, but is also very practical, since vinyl will hide all existing scratches and chips, and also protect the car from environmental influences. This style also includes sticker bombing - covering a car with small stickers.
Luminescent - now this airbrush style is becoming increasingly popular. These are luminous designs on cars. This effect is achieved through the use of special luminescent paints for airbrushing. In addition to the fact that such a pattern looks more impressive, it has one more advantage: with the right selection of patterns and colors, you can achieve the effect of a double image. In this case, during the day your car will be decorated with a modest design, but in the evening the picture on the hood will look completely different, complemented by small details and additional drawing.
Financial section of the business plan
The effectiveness of the project can be assessed at the stage of drawing up a business plan. The financial section contains complete information about investments in the project, current expenses and expected income. Using simple calculations, the business owner will determine the payback period of the investment and the amount of profit he can count on.
Starting investments
Opening costs include the following items:
Total: 250,800 rubles.
Monthly expenses
The costs for maintaining the project are as follows:
Total: 92,500 plus tax.
Income and profit calculation
You shouldn’t expect big earnings in the first 2-3 months after opening a studio. If you manage to get 5–6 orders during this period, that’s good. The main thing is to do the work efficiently so that clients are satisfied and word of mouth starts to work. Further, with proper implementation of marketing policy, the number of orders will increase.
The cost of applying a simple design without a background on 1 element of a car is 8,000–10,000, but if we are talking about a unique image of high complexity, the price for the work varies between 15,000–25,000 rubles. Painting the entire car will cost the client 70,000–100,000. Having completed 2 complex orders and 5–6 simple ones, the studio will earn approximately 250,000–280,000 rubles. To calculate profit, subtract taxes and current expenses from the smaller amount:
Calculations show that even with a small workload, the studio owner will receive a good profit. Over time, the number of orders will grow, then, in order not to lose customers, you will have to hire another airbrush artist and buy additional equipment.
An airbrush workshop is an economically feasible and attractive business idea. To implement it, you will need a small capital, this is the main advantage of the project. The success of the event directly depends on the qualifications of the artist. His talent and experience are the main resource of an entrepreneur. This business idea is suitable for those who can draw themselves and have already gained valuable experience in this field.
Tools
As already mentioned, today the category of airbrushing also includes wrapping a car with auto vinyl, while the technique of wrapping a car with film has nothing in common with the technique of applying a pattern using an airbrush. Let's take a closer look at the tools you will need to apply classic airbrushing.
Airbrush . The first and main tool for applying a design to a car is a paint sprayer. Without it, you are unlikely to get anything more or less intelligible. You need to buy a new and high-quality airbrush. You need to take its purchase seriously, since it is the main tool of a specialist in the artistic painting of cars, and the features of the future drawing depend on its quality. There are two types: single action - the supply of air and paint is controlled by one trigger; double action - air and paint are controlled by different trigger axes.
Compressor. An airbrush requires compressed air to operate. To supply it you will need a compressor. The important thing here is that the compressor is compatible with your airbrush. To do this, you need to carefully familiarize yourself with the technical characteristics of the airbrush and the apparatus for supplying compressed air. Today, the market offers electric, diaphragm, balloon and piston compressors.
Pressure regulator. You will need it in order to control the force of paint supply into the nozzle. Without it, you are unlikely to be able to paint a complex picture with a large number of elements.
Moisture trap. This gadget allows you to eliminate condensation, which can lead to blots and smudges.
Hoses. Everything is simple here: they are necessary in order to connect the airbrush to the compressor. The length of the hose only matters if you plan to airbrush the entire car. Its service life depends on what material the hose is made of. Rubber hoses coated with specially treated nylon are considered the most reliable. Plastic analogues are considered the most short-lived, but they are more affordable.
Gearbox. This gadget helps control air pressure and thereby change the size of the paint spray. Typically the pressure range during operation is 1.5-2 Atm.
Receiver. Reservoir with pre-inflated air. Allows the air pump to rest and avoid overheating of the device during prolonged operation. One of the optional parts that expand the capabilities of the airbrush.
Additional tools. This includes knives, measuring cups, holders and other accessories necessary for applying an airbrush design to a car.

Take care of your airbrush - care tips!
Take care of your airbrush - care tips! We advise you to never leave paint in your airbrush. If you paint white and switch to black, you will need a little thinner. If, on the contrary, when switching from black to white, then you need to disassemble and wipe. Pigments of red paint and silver paint are very difficult to wash off, so you will have to suffer with them, because even the smallest drop that has managed to dry should not be picked out with any object. You just need to soak it in solvent and be patient until the remaining dried paint dissolves.
Which airbrush paints to choose
Only certain types of paints are suitable for working with an airbrush. The airbrush composition must have the correct consistency, so excessively thick paints must be diluted with solvents to achieve the desired thickness. At the same time, the coloring composition must contain a sufficient amount of pigment, otherwise the design will turn out faded and uninteresting.
Acrylic is the most popular type of paint for airbrushing. It must be admitted that acrylic has much more advantages than disadvantages.
Pros of acrylic paints
Bright colors . Today, the airbrush paint market offers a huge palette of acrylic compositions. You can choose absolutely any color and shade that will look bright and impressive on the surface. Good adhesion of solid material to acrylic composition (adhesion). Acrylic airbrush will serve its owner for a long time, and unlike most other types of paint compositions, acrylic can be applied in one layer. Unpretentiousness of paint . Acrylic can be used on any, even the most difficult materials. Acrylic is not afraid of porous texture, volume or complex geometry of an object; it can be used to paint almost anything. Non-toxic . To use acrylic paints, special clothing and tools are not required, since acrylic compositions have a minimal degree of toxicity.
Disadvantages of working with acrylic paints
Difficulties in choosing shades . Acrylic paints are too bright. If your sketch involves many transitions or a translucent effect, acrylic paints must be chosen with great care. Leaks . With a sufficient degree of skill of the artist, this minus is completely leveled, but beginners are always faced with this annoying quality of acrylic. If you overfill the paint, unsightly smudges will invariably appear.

Nitro paints Various types of nitro paints are very often used when creating complex paintings using an airbrush. These paints are especially useful when making monochrome drawings with a lot of small details.
Advantages of nitro enamels Airbrushing painted with nitro enamels dries several times faster. Nitro paints are indispensable for drawing small details and patterns. This type of paint is often used to create a subtle, translucent background for a drawing. This effect is almost impossible to achieve with acrylic.
Disadvantages of nitro enamels Their use requires a solvent , which costs additional money. Difficulties in tinting . The main problem of nitro enamels: color unpredictability. The final shade may differ from that indicated on the packaging. Difficulties in tinting and color selection. Acrylic paints are much brighter than nitro enamels. When painting a picture using this type of paint, you need to be prepared for the fact that the color of the picture will have a translucent effect. a white background is often used to add brightness in this case . Not all airbrushes are suitable for working with this type of paint, so before purchasing you need to carefully study the product description and understand whether your tool is compatible with this material. Toxicity . To work with this material, you need to use protection, since nitro enamels are very toxic.
Urethane paints Today, this type of paint is gaining increasing popularity among airbrush specialists. In almost all characteristics they are superior to the mega-popular acrylic, but only professionals can use it, and it is better not to use them at home.
Pros of urethane paints
Wide palette of bright colors. As with acrylic, urethane paints are very bright and have good adhesion properties. Long service life . Airbrushing painted with urethane compounds will last as long as possible and will not become covered with a layer of cracks and scratches.
Beetle in steampunk style
Cons of urethane paints
They take quite a long time to dry. High price . Urethane compounds are significantly more expensive than acrylic airbrush paints. Toxicity. Painting with urethane dyes can only be applied in a specially prepared room with good air flow. Due to their increased toxicity, these paints can only be used in special clothing, a respirator, and in accordance with prescribed and rather difficult safety precautions.
Car tuning
Car tuning is an art that requires skills, time and effort. Now in every city there is one or a couple of car dealerships that, for reasonable money, will change a car beyond recognition.
Almost everything in a car can be changed or altered. There is not enough power - the engine should be tuned. To improve the braking system, a vacuum brake booster is installed. Power steering or power steering will help make the steering wheel easier to twist.
The most noticeable external modifications to the car are: unusual painting, drawings on the car, or special stickers. Such tuning can be done not only in the salon, but also independently at home. All you need is a suitable tool, a little time and imagination. Drawing on a car, on film or with paints is one of the most common types of tuning.
Methodology
The airbrush application method has several stages that are worth considering in more detail.
Sketch . Oddly enough, choosing a suitable design is the most difficult thing. Everything else is a matter of technique and skill, but choosing a sketch is a creative and individual matter. Here it is important to take into account not only the client’s wishes, but also to manage to “fit” the drawing into a specific car model or part of it. The picture is usually chosen based on personal preferences; people rarely think about how this picture will look on the car.
Preparation . Here everything happens as with regular painting. Small details are removed from the part on which the design is supposed to be applied. Next comes the stage at which the old layer of varnish is removed and minor body defects are corrected. Background. Once the car body is prepared for paint, you can apply a layer of paint, which will subsequently serve as the background for the future picture.
Drawing . Using stencils, an airbrush, a compressor and thousands of other tools, the main design is applied. The image is applied in layers. Small details are drawn at the very end.
Varnishing . A freshly airbrushed design is still fragile and susceptible to environmental influences. Without several layers of varnish, such a painting will deteriorate within a week. That is why, after applying airbrushing, you need to treat the body with special compounds that protect the paint from external factors.
Drying . After applying the varnish, the car is sent to a drying chamber, in which the airbrush design dries until ready. Here it is very important to be careful about setting the desired temperature. If the temperature in the chamber is not high enough, the airbrush will not dry. And if the temperature is higher than necessary, the picture will be covered with a web of cracks.
Applying varnish
It is important to dilute the varnish correctly. Since there are no exact recipes, you will have to select the “right” consistency by gradually adjusting the pressure and adding solvent. Be sure to try it on a test surface.
The varnish is applied perpendicularly. If the varnish “floods” the surface, most likely it is too liquid. When it appears in spots, it means it is too thick or there is too much pressure on the feed.
Cleaning when color changes
The procedure is quite simple. You need to wash the tank with a wire brush and solvent and wipe with a rag. Then add solvent and spray until the airbrush is thoroughly cleaned. When using dark and light colors, consider two or more airbrushes to prevent cross-contamination of colors.
Having finished working and washed the airbrush and spray gun, you can pour a little solvent into them and leave it until the next session.
Errors
Usually they relate to the proportions of paint or varnish and thinner:
- An excessively diluted composition will form streaks;
- not enough - a rough surface layer, an effect called “shagreen”.
“Shagreen” tends to form with other errors:
DIY powder coating of wheels. - there is more useful information here.
- suboptimal solvent;
- high temperature in the room (desirable 20–24 °C);
- large distance from the sprayer to the surface;
- strong pressure causing air to “spit” out.
All of these factors lead to paint particles drying out “in transit” and causing defects. Another cause is unfiltered ink or poorly mixed toner.
Mechanical problems can be easily prevented by choosing a sprayer with a built-in metal mesh filter. Chemical ones are eliminated experimentally - by step-by-step correction of parameters.

Necessarily! There should be a test surface for test spraying. It can be a sheet of cardboard or even a wall.
How to care
By and large, a machine with airbrushing does not require any special care. There is only one rule: accuracy. In the first few days after applying the design, it is not recommended to take the car to the wash. The paint will take some time to dry, so it is better to protect a car with freshly applied airbrushing from water. Be very careful when washing your car. Under no circumstances should you use brushes or rough rags to wipe the design from adhering stains of dirt. This can easily damage the airbrush and leave scratches. If possible, protect the drawing from contact with various chemical compounds. Do not place a canister of gasoline or engine oil on the airbrushed hood. If these substances come into contact with the drawing, stains may appear. Do not scratch the airbrushed hood with any kind of heavy objects with sharp edges. A briefcase with sharp corners, a child's car seat, a box or a cat carrier can easily damage the design. If gasoline or oil nevertheless spoils the drawing, then a gentle body cleaner can be used to correct the defect. In order to eliminate the streaks of scratches that appear in the drawing, the airbrush can be polished with special means.

The most extravagant way of tuning, which has nothing to do with sparkling chrome or bright shades of sports cars, is imitation of a rusty body. Now this method of painting a car is becoming increasingly popular. To simplify the task, you can use a rust film on the car.
Pros of airbrushing
Camaro as a zombie car
Opportunity to show your imagination . Perhaps this is the main advantage of airbrushing. The design you choose will be a reflection of your personality. Your car will turn into a unique work of art. Reduces the risk of your car being stolen . A car with an airbrushed design attracts a lot of attention, but car thieves have no use for it. And it will be much more difficult to sell such a car, so cars with bright airbrushing are practically not stolen.
Ability to disguise defects . Using car vinyl it is very easy to hide scratches, chips and rust. In the case of a classic painting painted with an airbrush, this is more difficult to do, but minor abrasions and scratches will also no longer be noticeable. Here, of course, you need to understand that the cost of an airbrush design will be no less than the money that you will be asked to simply remove existing scratches using traditional methods.

To make the interior look harmonious
Integrating metal objects into the interior is not as easy as it seems. A great idea is to start by creating a small moodboard where you can paste photographs of various details you like: a metal chandelier, a sculpture or a vase, textile samples, plants, metal panels, a photo of a finished interior that you like. Shade warm shades with cold ones, try it, and you will be able to talk about nature in your interior in a fresh, original, interesting way.

Disadvantages of airbrushing
Documentation . The car's PTS must indicate its color. If airbrushing is applied to the entire surface of the vehicle, and the main color of the design is very different from the original, you will have to make a corresponding mark in the vehicle passport. This procedure is not so complicated, but you will need to spend a whole day visiting the traffic police. If the airbrushing is bright and colorful, but it is impossible to distinguish the main color, the PTS will put a mark that it is a “multi-color vehicle.”
Steampunk again, Nissan GTR
It will be harder to sell . The first thing a buyer thinks about when he sees a car with airbrushing is that the car has been in a big accident or is rusty. After all, if a person spent so much effort on drawing a picture, why would he sell “his charm”? Most likely, they simply decided to hide the shortcomings of the iron with the drawing. Of course, such thoughts are highly controversial, but according to various surveys, these are the considerations that guide potential car buyers. And of course, airbrushing is a personal matter. All people are different, with different tastes and preferences. The percentage that the buyer will like the drawing as much as you liked it is too small. When buying a car, even a used one, people want to see the illusion of a new car, in which they can style it “to suit themselves,” but in the case of airbrushing on a car, this is impossible. Another thing is car vinyl. If it was glued to good iron without rust or dents, it can be easily removed without damaging the original paint of the car.
Difficulties with insurance . Why worry about possible damage to your drawing if you can simply insure it? A completely logical argument, but in reality everything turns out to be not quite so. Airbrushing on a car can indeed be insured, although this is usually done with great reluctance. At the same time, very often they try to divide large airbrushes into separate drawings. With this approach, there is a high risk that some picture will not be included in the insurance. If this particular drawing is scratched, then you will not receive any payments from the insurance company.

Imitation of natural rust on metal
Is it possible to rust metal without distorting the natural structure of the material? In such cases, imitation of rusting is used using a special coloring composition or rust film
Please note that you can create a rust effect on both metal and other materials, such as wood.
Paints and pigments
To make a product rusty, acrylic-based rust paint is most often used. Now such a mixture can be purchased at any hardware store. How is rust paint created? Rusty shades are formed through the interaction of brown, yellow and red pigments. Blue pigment can also be added to give the coating greater depth and color saturation.
There is also a natural pigment, which, when used alone, gives the appearance that the surface has rusted over time, and not as a result of decorative finishing work - this is iron lead or ocher (a mixture of iron oxide hydrate and clay).
Regardless of what kind of paint you are going to use - purchased or prepared yourself based on red lead, the mixture should be applied to a cleaned and degreased surface. To create a realistic rust texture, paint can be applied using a porous sponge or dry brush (to simulate streaks).
Simulating film
In building and finishing materials stores you can find self-adhesive film with a picture of rust. This is also a good option that will allow you to quickly and without any problems get the desired effect. However, it is recommended to glue such a film on a perfectly flat surface, otherwise air bubbles may appear, or in some places the film will simply peel off.
How to use the film:
- The surface that needs to be decorated must be degreased (with alcohol or a special degreaser).
- Attach the film to the base and mark the areas or contours that need to be cut out.
- Detach the film from the backing and begin gluing the piece in the middle, gradually leveling it towards the edges.
ilikO › Blog › RAT LOOK and body protection at the same time? It's real!
But before I start the review, I want to ask you for a small favor. I write for you and for the soul. But I don’t write in a newspaper or magazine. I am writing on an interactive portal. Therefore, a huge request - leave comments, criticism, wishes. Do not be silent! Your opinion is important to me and to the people I write about!
As it became clear from the title of the post, Alexey did something more than just another project. And I am doubly pleased that I was present at the birth of his style and participated in the creative search. I saw attempts, mistakes and finally victory. This victory ended with the loud word PATENT. Yes, yes, this is not an empty phrase. Alexey PATENTED his signature style in art printing, where the canvas is auto vinyl covering the car. For what? What's unusual about this style? How is it different from the thousands of other attempts at vinyl graphics that are being done all over the world? You will see the answer to these questions in this article.
The style is called Wrap by Rusty Style™. The abbreviation TM is absolutely appropriate and completely legal here! This is a real trademark, like Coca Cola, Apple, Pepsi, etc. The style reflects a graphic copy of the American Rat Look style. For the lazy and uninitiated reader, who is too lazy to even find it in Yandex, this is a style of car that is artificially aged. Iron parts are corroded with acid, the paint peels off and a common, incomparable style is created. And with all this, the car remains in perfect technical condition, the engines are “charged”, driving performance is improved.
Why, is it beautiful, is it necessary - the question is not for me and not for this article. The Rat Look exists and hundreds of articles have been written about it. Some people like him, some don't. And someone wants it, but is not ready to go through the “deprivations” in the form of loss of body gloss. Cars don’t last forever... Sooner or later, your favorite iron horse will need to be sold, no matter how beloved it is. The dreams of such people remained only dreams, until one fine day Alexey solved this problem. Yes, I didn’t just decide, as RAT LOOK style lovers dreamed, but I decided better. His solution not only DOESN'T SPOIL the body, it PROTECTS it! No matter how strange it may sound.
But why is the style of our respected designer considered new if it has already been invented a long time ago? And all because the execution is carried out using a COMPLETELY different technology. All that remains of the RAT style is what it was invented for - an EXTRAVAGANT appearance in the industrial or mad max style, without any losses for the car.
Okay, you say. Well, what is the patent for? Well, I made the style, let everyone do it now! It's simple. More precisely, it’s not easy. Precisely because I was present at the emergence of the Wrap by Rusty Style™ style, I can safely say - THOSE MONTHS, those torments, trials and errors that Alexey experienced in coming up with an unusual technology for the production of exclusive vinyl covering for his style, deserve that the technology belongs to only to him. He created it, he put his soul into it. And he did absolutely the right thing by spending money and time on a patent.
Today I will reveal to you (with Alexey’s permission) some secret technologies of the production.
At first glance, you might think - what’s so complicated about this? I drew or copied the rust texture, printed it on white auto vinyl, stuck it on the car and VOILA! A beautiful rusty style... But it will turn out exactly RUST. Nothing even close to real rust... All these attempts have been made since vinyl for printing and solvent printers (the ability to print on plastic, which in principle is what auto vinyl is) appeared.
Naturally, Alexey started with just such attempts. His author's developments of the textures of well-worn metal, symbols and graphics, which looked GREAT and realistic on a computer monitor, when printed, turned into limp pictures... There was no gloss and shine. Yes, yes, despite the fact that we are talking about rust - IT HAS A SHINE! These are metal particles. But alas, the printer cannot print a design, at the same time adding a metallic shine, but without making the picture a Chinese glitter appliqué...
After much testing with materials, it was decided to make a combined sandwich from films of different textures and densities. Everything worked out! AND IT COULD NOT BE OTHERWISE! The sandwich turned out very juicy! Magnificent design of texture and symbols in the rat look style, printing in several layers on the best vinyl film and custom fit for the car - as a result, we get a UNIQUE APPEARANCE and TRIPLE BODY PROTECTION! It was this sandwich of creativity and technology that Alexey called Wrap by Rusty Style™
and patented it.
Corten steel and others
That is why today brass, copper, and blackened metal are in demand in the interior, and not just “highly specialized” Corten steel. The main thing is that the material has interesting surfaces, and now there are technologies that make it possible to create thin ceramic cladding panels that resemble panels of oxidized metal - they are widely used in the interior for cladding and finishing furniture. Now ceramics (the material itself is environmentally friendly) ideally “knows how” to resemble both wood and stone. For example, porcelain stoneware panels with a 3D pattern realistically imitate marble slabs. All this looks great with live plants. So, if you are thinking about how to shade the plants in the winter garden, in addition to the usual wood, take a closer look at the textures of metal, ceramics, and natural stone.

Through holes
After prolonged aggressive exposure to steel, holes form in body parts. Automakers are actively fighting this, but it all comes down to money. Aluminum or magnesium components are too expensive to replace steel. And anti-corrosion alloying additives (nickel, chromium, molybdenum, titanium) are also limited in use, since they are an order of magnitude more expensive than steel.
As you can see, complete rotting of the car body is a matter of time. But what should the driver do if the power plant is working quite normally, but the rust has eaten right through the bottom and wings? The only way out is to replace parts. As a rule, damaged areas are cut straight out in whole pieces and discarded. To replace them, similar ones taken from so-called “donor” cars (they are found at disassembly sites) or repair spare parts are welded in. The last option, despite the apparent simplicity of the solution, is not always good. And all because these parts are stamped in China and Taiwan, and the cheapest metal is used.
Important points when pasting:
❗ Pasting a car with rust film, and with any other design, must be carried out in a well-ventilated, specially equipped room with a standard humidity level. The car should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
❗ Before applying the film, the entire surface of the car should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased, and for a complete transformation, the car will have to be partially disassembled.
❗ Vinyl must be applied with extreme caution, because the slightest bubbles or wrinkles will ruin the appearance and the car will not look realistic. High-quality films have special microchannels for air removal, making the material easy and convenient to work with.
❗ The final stage of car vinyl wrapping is drying. A hair dryer is used for these purposes.
