On the right side, find the option “Prohibit access to registry editing tools” and double-click on it with the left mouse button.
In the window, change the option to “Disable” or “Not configured” and save the changes with the “OK” button.

Method 3: Command Line

Through the command line, you can restore the functionality of the registry by entering a special command. This option will be useful if Group Policy is missing as an OS component or changing its setting did not help. For this:

From the Start menu, open Command Prompt with administrator rights. To do this, right-click on the component and select “Run as administrator”.
Copy and paste the following command:
reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /t Reg_dword /v DisableRegistryTools /f /d 0
Press Enter and check the registry for functionality.

Method 4: BAT file

Another option for enabling the registry is to create and use a BAT file. It will become an alternative to launching the command line if it is unavailable for some reason, for example, due to a virus that has blocked both it and the registry.

Create a TXT text document by opening the regular Notepad application.
Paste the following line into the file:
reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /t Reg_dword /v DisableRegistryTools /f /d 0

Save the document with the BAT extension.
To do this, click “File” - “Save”. In the “File type” field, change the option to “All files”, then in the “File name” enter an arbitrary name, adding .bat at the end, as shown in the example below.

Method 5: INF file

Symantec, a software development company in the field of information security, provides its own method for unlocking the registry using an INF extension file. It resets the shell\open\command keys to their default values, thereby restoring access to the registry. The instructions for this method are as follows:

Download the INF file from the official Symantec website by following this link.

Preparatory work before painting

Painting a car with raptor is not a complicated process and can be done by a car enthusiast, but it requires careful preliminary preparation. If painting will be done over the entire body of the car, then initially you need to remove all the attached parts from the body: bumpers, headlights, corners, mirrors, and so on.

Then traces of rust and peeling paint are removed from the body. It is recommended to prime areas of the body with exposed metal with ACID #8 primer. If necessary, the body is straightened and puttied in places of dents. The surface should be degreased with anti-silicone cleaner S2001.

At the next stage of preparing the body for painting, P80 sandpaper is used to remove the gloss. The surface to be painted with raptor should be matte. All parts of the car that remain on the body and will not be painted should be covered with protective material, using masking tape as fastening.

The instructions for using Raptor say that it has excellent adhesion to painted surfaces, so the painting procedure can be carried out even outdoors, without fear of the sun, wind and dust. However, it is better to carry out painting in a garage in the absence of dust, on a clean and grease-free body.

Surface preparation

The first stage of application is the preparation of the body element; this is especially important for painting large surfaces. The procedure is performed in several stages:

Freeing from extraneous parts. All interfering elements should be removed: sidelights, headlights, fender liners, bumpers, rear-view mirrors, etc.
Careful inspection of the surface. The master’s task comes down to identifying areas with defects;
Elimination of damaged areas. Grinding is carried out only in areas with corrosion or in the presence of slag from the welding installation. If the coating is swollen or does not adhere securely, it must be cleaned;
Straightening. If during the work an area with a deep dent or putty is discovered, the body element is pulled out or tapped;
Surface cleaning. The base is cleaned with a degreaser (standard White Spirit solvent or a special composition). Primer is applied to the prepared body; this is not necessary, but it improves the quality of the final layer;

Preparing the car for painting

Removing gloss. The entire body is processed with coarse sandpaper, the resulting scratches improve the adhesion of the coating;
Protection of adjacent elements. All parts of the body that should not be treated are covered with film, masking tape and newspapers.

Working with Raptor paint is allowed both outdoors and in a box, but to improve the result it is better to be in a clean room.

It is important to equip the garage with an exhaust system and use personal protective measures.

Raptor painting technology

After all the preparatory work, you can proceed to painting the body with raptor. The instructions for use recommend mixing the material with the hardener in a ratio of 3:1. In the can where the paint is located, there is a mark at which you should add the hardener - it will be exactly 250 grams.

High-strength protective coating U-POL RAPTOR

Close the jar and shake the contents for several minutes to mix the paint and hardener. The company offers hardeners for Raptor with different drying periods, which makes it possible to select the desired drying speed of the coating. And in order to reduce the texture of the applied coating, the company recommends adding 10% S2040 thinner to the bottle with the material and hardener.

We screw the gun onto the paint can, to which the hose from the compressor is connected. You can apply the first layer of raptor to the car body. Painting begins from the roof of the car using even movements. The gun should be kept 40 - 50 centimeters from the surface to be painted. You need to make sure that the layer goes on without overflowing.

The instructions say that thickening the layer leads to a violation of its mechanical strength. To dry the first layer, a temperature of +20 and 30-60 minutes are required. Then you can apply a second layer.

Upon completion of coating the car body with the second layer of raptor, the paint should polymerize within 5-7 days. The car can be used after 12 hours, however, without serious loads on the coating.

Price

As for the cost, a painting kit (4 liters in volume), which includes 4 cans of starting material and a hardener, costs about 6 thousand rubles. To this you need to add a special spray gun (1,700 rubles).

It takes about three of these sets to repaint the entire car. To this amount (from 19,700 rubles) it will be necessary to add the cost of the work itself (the same amount). Of course, the figure turns out to be rather large. However, considering all the advantages of this technology, it is worth taking advantage of. If, when you try to launch regedit (registry editor), you see a message that editing the registry is prohibited by the system administrator, this indicates that the Windows 10, 8.1 or Windows 7 system policies responsible for user access (in including with Administrator accounts) to edit the registry.

This instruction details what to do if the Registry Editor does not start with the message “registry editing is prohibited” and several relatively simple ways to fix the problem - in the Local Group Policy Editor, using the command line, .reg and .bat files. Allow editing the registry using the Local Group Policy Editor

The easiest and fastest way to disable the ban on editing the registry is to use the Local Group Policy Editor, but it is only available in the Professional and Enterprise editions of Windows 10 and 8.1, also in Windows 7 Ultimate. For Home edition, use one of the following 3 methods to enable Registry Editor.
