Once you're done, you'll need a base coat and a hardener to create the topcoat. Its components are sold separately and you need to dilute them yourself according to the instructions that come with the package. But you shouldn’t dilute too much, since the components cannot be stored in a mixed form.
For reference! An optional, but very useful attribute is infrared drying. It ensures fast drying of alkyd paints.
You will need a solvent as you work. Solvents No. 645 and No. 650 are well suited for alkyd enamels. They are also used to clean the spray bottle when changing colors. For nitro enamels, solvent No. 646 is recommended.
To apply the design you will need stencils and patterns. You can either buy them in a store or make them yourself. They come in two types: disposable and reusable. Disposable ones are made from thin cardboard, thin plastic, and X-ray film. The ideal option would be self-adhesive film.
