Replacing Prior support bearings without removing the strut

Hello to all auto mechanics! Tell me how to check the support bearing? That is, everywhere they say that you need to put your hand in and try for play. But I tried that, and there was no effect. It is difficult to understand, a reliable technique is needed. In what cases is it necessary to replace the Priora support bearing? One friend had a knocking noise and play, so one might think that it was the support bearing that had flown, but in fact there were problems in the strut. Thank you in advance!

I don't know, I usually shoot everything and look visually

It’s elementary: you grab the rod with your fingers and start rocking the car. If there is vibration, then the support bearing has come to an end.

It is very easy to check for play, even the slightest

I first lower the problem side, then climb up to the counter and start moving it. It is immediately clear what exactly went wrong. If you have no experience, then ask a friend who is good at cars

The front strut support bearing lasts for 70 thousand kilometers. In case of periodic occurrence of increased axial loads, the figure decreases significantly. Also, the service life of this part is negatively affected by such unfavorable factors as constant ingress of water, dust and dirt. The degree of damage determines what work will be carried out. It is possible to replace the Priora support bearing with or without the housing

No. I know this option... I've done it a couple of times. I then unscrew the nut on the ammo and three nuts on the strut bearing. and compress the spring. I'm interested in the reality of this process.

You can do this, but you can unscrew the ball and steering anyway, and it’s not very convenient to compress the spring, unless with an internal coupler.

I'm still trying to imagine what this procedure looks like.
