NOTE. A magnet is installed on the oil drain plug (shown in the photo with an arrow). Inspect it and clean it of adhering metal particles and dirt. The presence of a large number of metal particles on the magnet indirectly indicates some kind of gearbox malfunction. In this case, check and, if necessary, repair the box.

The Ford plant recommends using branded original oil for its vehicles. Therefore, the optimal solution would be BO 400075 with an SAE rating of 80W.

There are no strict restrictions in terms of gear oil manufacturers. But try to use only high-quality and effective formulations. When changing oil, it is recommended to use a new, similar one.
