Changing the DSG oil | 2,500 rubles |
According to the requirements of the manufacturer of six-speed gearboxes, it is required to perform a scheduled oil change after every 60 thousand kilometers of the vehicle. At the same time, the filter is changed. The oil used for replacement should be exclusively branded - Volkswagen VAG ATF DSG and it will be required in an amount of about six liters.
How to change the oil in DSG 6 yourself?
The amount of oil is dosed by the overflow tube, which is located behind the drain plug. After draining the old oil, you need to install an overflow tube and add fresh oil. When it begins to flow from the drain hole (the level exceeds the height of the overflow tube), it is necessary to warm up the engine, make sure that the oil has stopped flowing, and then tighten the drain plug.
Changing the oil in the DSG 6 SKODA YETI 1.8
1. Disconnect the connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor and, squeezing the spring clamp, disconnect the air pipe from the air filter housing.
2. Disassemble the air intake to disconnect the air pipe.
3. Unscrew the bolt securing the air filter housing.
4. Then pull the air filter housing off the rubber mounts.
5. Remove the battery cover and remove the front casing.
6. Remove the terminals from the battery, unscrew the mount and remove the battery.
7. Unscrew the three bolts securing the battery platform and remove it.
8. Unscrew the oil filter housing and remove it.
10. We pump out the remaining old oil from the honeycombs in the gearbox housing.
11. Remove the crankcase protection.
12. Unscrew the drain plug with a 14 mm hexagon. and drain the oil. Approximately 0.8 liters will drain. oils
15. Tighten the drain plug with the old O-ring.
16. Insert the filling hose into the hole in the oil filter.
17. We begin to fill in the oil. Pour 5.4 liters of oil (this is with a small margin) into the DSG6. The total oil filling volume on PBZ gearboxes is 7.2 liters, and the service volume (which we replace) is 5.2 liters. oils Therefore, we fill in a little more oil in order to then set the oil level correctly. For a DSG gearbox, it is equally bad if the oil is overfilled or underfilled. 18. Comparison of CP filters.
19. When you have finished pouring oil into the box, remove the filling hose and put it aside.
20. Install a new oil filter. Pre-lubricate the lip seal with transmission oil. Attention! The filter needs to be placed on the rod into which we poured oil. Be sure to twist it left and right to prevent the filter lip seal from wrapping.
21. Wash the oil filter housing to remove oil.
22. Replace the O-ring on the oil filter housing.
23. Install the oil filter housing and tighten it to a torque of 20 Nm.
24. Place the battery pad back into place.
25. Install the battery and connect the terminals. 26. Install the front casing and battery cover.
27. Install the air filter housing on the rubber mounts.
28. Tighten the air filter mounting bolt.
29. Install the air intake.
30. Connect the air pipe to the air filter housing and connect the connector of the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
31. Connect the diagnostic device. We go to “Measured values” and open group 19. Group 19.2 displays the current oil temperature in the 02E gearbox. 33. Start the engine and switch the selector, pausing for 3-5 seconds in each gear. Then return the lever to the “P” position. To set the level, the oil in the gearbox must be warmed up in the range of 35-45 degrees.
Below is a photo showing the operating principle of the overflow glass in the DSG 6 box.
34. Having heated the oil to a certain temperature, we unscrew the drain plug and drain the excess oil (200 grams that we poured).
35. While the excess oil is draining, replace the sealing ring on the drain plug with a new one.
36. Drain the oil until the stream of oil becomes thin. We drained about 200 grams of oil, now the level is set in accordance with the regulations. Immediately tighten the drain plug and tighten it to 45 Nm.
37. We wash the gearbox housing from traces of oil.
38. Install the crankcase protection.
Filling nuances:
According to the regulations, oil should be filled into the box through the drain plug, i.e. from below the car. This is due to the fact that the filter in some cases does not change (again, according to the regulations, photo at the beginning). But when a simultaneous replacement is made, it is more convenient to do it from under the hood, into the hole for the filter. When changing the oil in the DSG 6 box, the car must be installed on a flat surface.
What next?
After this, you need to fill in new fluid. Some people add it directly to the housing of the new filter, but this is long and difficult (a liter is filled within ten minutes). Therefore, it is better to find an adapter that screws in instead of the oil drain plug. You also need a 10 mm hose (it is important that it is transparent). The length of the hose is about two meters. Its second end is pulled onto the neck of a narrow funnel, which is attached above the engine compartment.
Next, transmission fluid is poured into the funnel. Although the filling volume is about seven liters, in practice it turns out to fill no more than five.
After this, start the engine. The box should be warmed up. To do this, switch the gearbox selector to different modes. The oil should heat up to a temperature of 45 degrees. If the liquid was poured at room temperature, the box should warm up in three to five minutes.
At the next stage, the knob is unscrewed and a bottle of oil is installed instead (usually the liquid is sold in liters, so take that one). Place this bottle on the floor so that it is below the transmission level. In this case, excess liquid will flow through the transparent tube. As soon as the stream decreases to drops, the adapter is unscrewed and the oil drain plug is screwed in. The seal on it is first changed.
Please note that you only need to tighten the plug after changing the oil in the DSG by hand. After this, with the engine running, you need to switch modes again with a delay of five seconds. Next, return the lever to the “parking” mode (the engine does not turn off). Unscrew the plug again. If the oil drains, you need to wait until the excess goes away. Then you can tighten the plug and begin full operation.
