Side light bulbs are one of the automotive consumables. After all, any light bulb has a limited resource. Every driver from time to time is faced with replacing lamps in headlights and side lights. Replacing the side light bulb does not require much effort and can be done by the car owner independently without using the services of car services.
What malfunctions may be present?
It is not recommended to continue driving in a car whose brake light has stopped lighting up. This breakdown can provoke a dangerous situation on the road. The performance of lighting devices requires periodic checks and if malfunctions are detected, immediate elimination will be required.
Among the most common breakdowns are the following.
- One of the brake lights stopped showing signs of glow.
- Both elements do not light up when the brake pedal is activated.
- The additional brake light lamp does not function.
Due to the fact that these elements belong to the on-board vehicle network, the first action will be to check its condition. We check the integrity of the fuse marked F3, which is assigned the function of providing power to the brake lamps. This fuse link is located in a block located in the cabin on the left side of the Renault Logan front panel. The power withstood by the fuse element is stated at 10 Amps. Indirect confirmation of the failure of the insert is the lack of functionality of both lamps. The check is simple - just replace the suspected fuse with a known good element. Alternatively, you can use a multi-tester to monitor circuit integrity.
If the above actions do not produce results, then the continuation of the troubleshooting will be to examine the supply cable network for a break. Among the priority areas for increased attention are areas of wiring bends.
We continue the search. Let's look at the switch in the brake light circuit. This unit is located in the pedal module and secured with a bracket. To ensure convenient control, it is recommended to dismantle this element. This can be done using the following algorithm:
- disconnect the terminal from the battery, since the circuitry of this section of the on-board network is under continuous voltage supply;
- disconnect the supply wire connector;
- To remove the element from the mounting socket, turn it at a 90-degree angle and, using slight manual force, pull it towards you. In a couple of seconds the design will be in your hands.
To check the sensor, we measure its resistance using a tester. You can connect a new analogue. To measure, we connect the leads of the testing device to the contacts of the sensor and at the same time carry out several periodic presses on its rod. If the device registers a malfunction, then the additional brake light lamp must be replaced.
When the sensor turns out to be working and the inspector is convinced of this fact, the next step is to check the power supply to this element through the adjacent section of the Renault Logan on-board network. To implement this action, we return the terminal to the battery terminal and use a tester to measure the presence of voltage at the sensor terminals. If voltage is supplied, we proceed to directly checking the lamps themselves. Installing the sensor in its original place is the same basic procedure as removing it. How is the additional brake light lamp replaced?
How to remove the headlight to replace the bulb and wash the lens?
You can replace a Toyota Camry light bulb along with cleaning and washing the headlight. If you need to clean the optics from dirt and dust, returning the lens to its former shine, you will have to completely remove the headlight from under the bumper. This is also easy to do, but in this case access to it is only possible through the hood.
Headlight removal algorithm:
- Using a screwdriver, unscrew the two bolts of the metal plate under the seal under the hood;
- remove the metal strip above the headlight;
- unscrew the three bolts securing the headlight itself;
- carefully bend the bumper;
- carefully pull the headlight towards you;
- disconnect the bulbs and connectors;
- remove the optical device.
If the light bulb burns out, you can unscrew it and remove it from the clamp, then install a new one. It is advisable to disassemble the headlight removed from the housing for subsequent washing. To remove the headlight from the car body, you will need an 8” wrench, with which you can remove the electronic corrector. After this, you need to unscrew the fastenings of the rubber seals with a screwdriver and remove the sealing rings (there are only three of them). After the headlight is disassembled, you can wash the inside of it with detergent and distilled water.
Since the 6th generation Toyota Camry has a headlight with partitions, it may be more difficult to remove accumulated dust and dirt. It is recommended to use a small sponge to thoroughly rinse the sections. Some people use a clever method: they cut an ordinary dishwashing sponge into small squares and place them inside the headlight, filling them with water and detergent. In this way, it is possible to remove any remaining dust and dirt from the diffuser as thoroughly as possible.
After all manipulations with water, the headlight must be thoroughly dried before replacing the light bulb of the Camry 40 size. Before this, the headlight must be assembled in the reverse order:
- install the corrector using an 8” wrench;
- put all the rubber seals in place, securing them with standard fasteners using a flat screwdriver;
- Turn the headlight adjusters so that the holes for the lamp are in the center.
The same method is suitable for other cars of this brand. There may be differences in the optics of different models, so it is recommended to first study the registration certificate of a foreign car.
The lamp is not burned out, but does not work, what else could it be?
Sometimes the failure of car lighting devices does not occur due to burnout of the lamps, and you need to be prepared for this. Below I will list problems that can cause failure of certain lamps, and briefly describe methods for finding and eliminating them:
The fuse has blown. This can happen during voltage surges in the on-board network (poor contact at the terminal of the battery, generator or any powerful consumer when the engine is running), as well as if the fuse itself is of poor quality or has the wrong rating. The problem can be solved quite simply - check the quality of the power contacts and change the fuse. I will describe below where they are located and what they are responsible for.
The connecting blocks have oxidized. The malfunction is detected by disconnecting the pads and visual inspection. If there is a white or red coating on the contacts, they need to be cleaned.
Short circuit of the power wire to the body. In this case, as a rule, the corresponding fuse burns out. We install a new one of the same value. If it burns out immediately, then the reason is a short circuit. It is revealed by visual inspection of the power harnesses
Particular attention should be paid to the places where wires pass through sharp corners and edges of the body, as well as through holes in it. It can be repaired using electrical tape and a PVC tube, cut lengthwise and placed over the damaged area.
Break or burnout of the supply wire
A simple break does not cause any special consequences (except, of course, for the lamp going out). If the wire rubs against the body, it will burn the corresponding fuse before it burns out. If the new fuse does not blow again, but the headlight does not light, the problem is a break. Identified by visual inspection of power harnesses. If it is impossible to “patch” a burnt-out wire, you can run a new one parallel to it and disconnect the burnt one.

Lighting repair
Possible causes of malfunction
So, if the low beam on a VAZ 2106 in one of the headlights has disappeared, then, as mentioned above, most likely the light bulb has burned out.
If replacing the lamp does not produce results, then the following malfunctions may occur:
- The contacts in the block are oxidized or burnt;
- The fuse has blown;
- The relay has failed;
- The switch is faulty;
- There is a break in the circuit.
Below we will take a closer look at how to diagnose and fix the problem.
Replacing a light bulb
First of all, it should be said that the low beam lamp on the VAZ 2106 complies with the H4 standard, i.e. it has two threads, which allows the headlight to operate in two modes. Currently, such light bulbs are produced by different companies, both well-known brands and little-known companies.
It should be noted that domestic light bulbs are very popular among car owners. Their price is significantly lower than their imported counterparts, but at the same time they are not inferior in quality.
Instructions for doing this work look like this:
First of all, you need to use a flat-head screwdriver to dismantle the plastic panel that frames the headlights.
The photo shows the dismantling of the plastic panel
- Then use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the clamps that hold the headlight.
- Next, you need to slightly turn the metal hoop and dismantle it.
Now you can pull out the headlight with your own hands and disconnect it from the block
At this stage, you need to pay attention to the connector contacts. If necessary, they need to be cleaned. Then you need to unfasten the lock and remove the light bulb. Next, the work is performed in the reverse order - a new lamp is installed, which is pressed with a clamp, and the block is connected to the contacts
The headlight assembly must be installed in place and secured with a hoop. To complete the work, a plastic panel is inserted, on which you need to press lightly until you hear a characteristic click.
This completes the process of replacing the light bulb.
Replacing fuses
If after replacing the light bulb the low beam headlight on 2106 still does not light, you should check the fuses. They are located under the instrument panel.
In this case, you need to pay attention to two fuses:
- No. 5 – protects the left headlight from short circuit;
- No. 6 – protects the right headlight.
It must be said that the low beam on the VAZ 2106 often does not work due to the fuse contacts being bent or oxidized. In this case, they need to be bent and cleaned. If the protective element has melted, it must be replaced.
Troubleshooting other problems
If the low beam on a VAZ 2106 does not light up, then to detect a malfunction you will need a multimeter to test the wiring, or at least a test light. The circuit and equipment should be checked according to the diagram below.
It must be said that the high and low beam relays on the VAZ 2106, which are indicated in the diagram as numbers 6 and 4, often fail.
Therefore, you can start checking with them.
- If there is no voltage supplied to the relays and fuses, you should check the wiring section from switch No. 5 to terminal No. 86 on the relay, as well as the section from the switch to the external lighting switch No. 8. If , then the switch has failed.
- If voltage is supplied to the fuses, then an open circuit must be looked for in the area from the block to the headlights. Often the breakdown is due to poor ground contact. In this case, you just need to clean the contact.
These, in fact, are all the reasons why external lighting may not work on the “six”.
Sequencing
- Disconnect the negative headlight;
- We remove the front bumper and clear the approach to the body mount;
- We turn out the bolts of the headlight unit;
- Carefully disconnect the cable drive of the light corrector;
- We unscrew the three screws holding the headlight unit and tilt it to the side;
- Press the locking device and remove the cover;
- Carefully separate the wire connection block;
- Below the main lighting lamp we see the size socket. To change it, you can get to it without removing the bumper and headlight housing, but only by carefully inserting your hand between the headlight and the engine;
- On the left headlight we turn the socket clockwise, on the right - counterclockwise and remove it freely;
- Remove the lamp.
- Renault lamps have the article number W5W. We check the number and brand and put it in place.
- We put the headlight unit back together, connect the wiring block, install the light control cable and the bumper and fasten the housing.
Attention! Do not touch the lamp bulb with your hands - work with cotton gloves to avoid rapid failure of the lamp. If you are a fan of bright lighting solutions, we advise you to choose a new technology lamp made on the basis of LED elements, of which there are at least 15 pieces
They are sold in almost all auto stores, but their cost is high and ranges from 2,700 rubles. If there are no catalog options from 2021, 2021, 2021 and 2021, you can buy analogues from 2020, 2021 and 2021

How to change a halogen or LED light bulb
How to replace a CV joint on a car
In suspended ceilings, spot lighting is usually based on the use of halogen or LED lamps. In order to correctly replace such a lamp, while ensuring that electric current does not strike you, you need to know some nuances.
First you need to unlock the light bulb in the lamp housing. To do this, carefully remove the special round-shaped ring. After the lock is removed, you can unscrew the lamp. Usually this is not difficult.
Next, we install a new light bulb in the vacant space, similar to the previously used one, which needs to be checked again during replacement. The final touch is to secure the new lamp with a ring.
When replacing the light bulb, hold all parts with your hands, since the retaining ring has the appearance of a spring that can slip out of your hands.
If you previously had yellow lamps, but there was not enough lighting in the room, you can purchase a new lamp of the same color, but white. It will give more light, and the amount of energy will be spent the same as the yellow one.
If you are faced with the question of how to connect additional electricity to your room, it is worth considering that you will need the same light bulbs as the ones you already have.
The thing is that different lamps not only have different features, but also appearance, so it is advisable to use lamps from the same manufacturer in the same room when it comes to spot lighting.
And the most important thing that may concern halogen and LED bulbs. this is that they should not be touched with bare hands. All actions should be carried out only with gloves, because this will help protect the lamp from premature damage
All actions should be carried out only with gloves, because this will help protect the lamp from premature damage.
By the way, if you do touch the light bulb, don’t be upset, you can gently wipe it with a cotton swab with a little alcohol on it.
Replacing fluorescent lamps
Replacing such a light bulb is not at all difficult; it is similar to the process that we described when replacing an incandescent lamp.
However, if such a lamp has burned out for the first time, you need to remember that when purchasing a new one, its power should either correspond to the old lamp, or be based on the following principles...
Firstly, fluorescent lamps give a greater glow with less power, so there is no point in looking for the most powerful one, because 50 W may well be enough for you to illuminate a large room.
Secondly, this particular type of lamp gives soft light and diffuses it well, so you definitely won’t need several lamps in one room.
However, it is worth understanding that if you decide to replace, for example, a conventional incandescent lamp with a fluorescent lamp, then the latter option will possibly flicker and also be very sensitive to high temperatures. At the same time, little will affect the service life of such a lamp, and it often lasts 10-20 times longer than an incandescent lamp, of which, by the way, you may need several for one room. Create the right lighting in your room and protect your eyesight!
Replacing a Renault Logan lamp with your own hands
After the next maintenance of the car at the car service center, I discovered that the low beam headlight bulb had burned out, I don’t know what they do with them, but this is the third time. Having driven through the summer with one eye, I still had to change the lamp for traffic safety at night.
Replacing Logan's right headlight bulb does not cause any problems, the volume of the hood allows you to even look into the lamp installation socket, but with the left lamp it is more difficult, the battery interferes with the work.
I think that a skilled specialist can cope with replacing the lamp without removing the battery, but in amateur conditions it is better to remove the battery.

Replacing the headlight bulb on Kalina (photo and video)
We present to your attention detailed photos and video instructions on how to change the headlight bulb on a Lada Kalina with your own hands.
What are the dimensions of the Lada Kalina lamps?
In Kalina's dimensions there are standard baseless lamps of type A12-5-2 (W5W). If desired, LED lamps can be installed instead.
Replacing the headlight bulb on Kalina - photo
Before replacing the headlight bulbs, be sure to turn them off, and it is also advisable to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
The clearance lamp is replaced with the hood open.
To gain access to the burnt out lamp, remove the headlight protective cover opposite the high beam section.
It is this yellow cartridge at the bottom of the headlight that we need to remove.
This procedure is complicated by the fact that the cartridge of Kalina’s dimensions is located in a very inconvenient place; getting into it with your fingers is problematic. And it often takes a lot of effort to remove the cartridge.
Many people recommend using pliers or another tool to remove an oversized cartridge. We do not recommend doing this, since the plastic cartridge is easy to break, and finding a new one is difficult.
To facilitate access to the size socket, disconnect the chip from the high beam lamp (brown, located above the size socket).
Access is now better.
We put our hand in and carefully pull the cartridge of dimensions towards ourselves. Often the cartridge requires a lot of effort. If it does not give in, you can twist it slightly to the left and right, and then carefully pull it out, gradually increasing the force.
After we have pulled out the socket, we pull out the burnt out lamp from it.
Instead, we insert a new headlight bulb.
Then insert the cartridge back into place until it clicks.
Don't forget to put the high beam lamp chip back in place.
After this, it is advisable to turn on the dimensions and check if everything works.
If the lamp works, close the headlight housing and hood.
Replacing the headlight bulb on Kalina - video
A few days ago, on the Lada Kalina blog, I wrote a post about how a not very pleasant picture arose on my car with the left headlight (driver’s) fogging up. In general, the situation, as it turned out later, is familiar to many owners of not only Kalina, but also other domestic cars. The fact is that for some reason condensation forms in the internal cavity of the headlight, and the light bulb constantly burns out. Moreover, this applies specifically to the low beam, since you have to drive with it constantly due to the law.
When I did this for the first time, of course I had to spend a lot of time and nerves, although with patience and calmness, as well as level hands, everything is done quite simply. Below I will try to describe in more detail the detailed procedure that must be performed in order to replace the lamp.
Instructions for replacing low beam headlight bulbs on Kalina
So, the first thing you need to do is open the hood of the car. Then, on the side where the light bulb burned out, you need to pull out (remove) the rubber plug. When the rubber band is removed, you can proceed to further actions. This is where we need patience. You need to feel the latch that secures the lamp with your fingers and unclick it. There you get two tendrils on each side, and they need to be disengaged. All that remains is to pull off the two power wires that go to the light bulb and then you can remove it. But you need to do this carefully so as not to break it
When installing a new one, you should pay attention that its protrusion on the body is aligned with a similar-sized slot in the headlight. We put the latch in place and connect all the wires
As promised, I’m posting a few photos of this renovation, I think that now everything is shown more clearly. As for the prices for new light bulbs, it all depends on the thickness of your wallet, that is, you can buy one for at least 80 rubles, at least for 300 rubles. From my own experience I can say that the same MAYAK can last for several seasons if moisture does not penetrate into the headlight.
Side lights
The process of replacing side lights
To replace this part, you will need to perform a series of simple steps in several steps:
- First, using a 10" socket and an extension, disassemble the headlight unit.
- There will be a block of wires in front of you. The first thing you need to do is disconnect the one that goes to the negative terminal of the battery.
- Now remove the front bumper. Underneath there is a cover that covers the headlight range control.
- Next, disconnect the drive cable and move the headlight unit to the side by unscrewing the three bolts.
- After releasing the latch, disconnect the wiring block. Now the entire headlight unit should remain in your hands.
- The parking light bulb can now be replaced. If the headlight is on the right, then turn the socket counterclockwise, if it is on the left, then turn it clockwise.
- To remove the lamp, pull on two wires, the black one and the next yellow one.
How to replace the side light bulb in restyled models
Before replacing a light bulb, it is advisable to place the car on a relatively flat surface so as not to tilt again, and also turn off the engine. This way you will avoid electric shock, which is supplied to the light bulb when the engine is on. To avoid a short circuit during operation, on most cars it would be a good idea to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. It is always better to start replacing from the right side. The headlight unit is equipped with a plastic cover. It is dismantled using a socket and extension.
There may be some minor additional complications with this operation. The socket with a light bulb is sometimes more difficult to get due to the fact that it is quite small in size and is located in a hard-to-reach place. To remove this cartridge, find it and start rocking it up and down until the cartridge is completely removed. There is no need to rotate the chuck.
Start installation work from the side where the washer fluid reservoir is installed. Then you should move on to the headlight installed on the battery side. The cartridge on this side is more difficult to reach due to the body. While removing, use your hand to lift the part up.
The dismantling process requires the presence of a special tool. Manufacturers place a protrusion on the lamp socket. Use a flat blade screwdriver to grab onto this tab and use a lever action to remove the cartridge.
Replacement of rear marker
The taillights of Renault Logan I and Renault Logan II have almost the same design. The only difference is that in the first generation the flashlight is secured using screws for a Phillips screwdriver (the second generation uses screw plastic wing nuts) and main board latches 5, not 2.
Let's first consider the process of replacing tail lamps (also known as brake light lamps) with Renault Logan II, since this modification is more common in Russia. First of all, unscrew the two plastic nuts securing the flashlight. They are made in the form of lambs, and a key is not needed.
Location of the rear light latches in Renault Logan II
Now we remove the lamp: swing it and carefully pull it back along the direction of the car.
Disconnect the power connector by pressing the latch.
Place the device face down on a soft surface and remove the soft sealing gasket.
The board with the light bulbs is secured using two latches. We squeeze them out and remove the board.
I marked the lamp responsible for the dimensions with an arrow. It can be removed by lightly pressing and turning counterclockwise until it stops. We replace the lamp with a working one, install the board in place, connect the power connector, and attach the headlight.
With Renault Logan I the actions are somewhat different. First of all, we remove the part of the trunk upholstery opposite the lamp. Under the upholstery we will see two self-tapping screws located in the same place where the wing nuts are located in the Renault Logan II (see photo above). We unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the lamp. The remaining steps for replacing side light bulbs are similar. The only thing is that the lamp board in Logan I can be mounted on either two or five latches - depending on the modification of the lamp.
That seems to be all about replacing side light bulbs in a Renault Logan car. If you read the article carefully, you can easily cope with this task yourself, spending no more than 5 minutes on the replacement.
How to Choose Suitable Replacement Parking Lights
You can choose a suitable lamp both in car services and at car flea markets. At the same time, experienced drivers do not recommend purchasing cheap Chinese products, since the likelihood that they will burn out ahead of schedule is quite high.
When choosing a light bulb, you need to pay attention to the following characteristics.
- Brightness _ This is the most important characteristic of a light bulb, which is assessed by its luminous flux. Luminous flux is measured in lumens. For an incandescent lamp this value is approximately 50 lumens. Remember that the purpose of side lights is to inform other road users of the size of your vehicle. Light sources should not dazzle other road users, but at the same time they cannot be too dim. The upper threshold of luminous flux for side lights is 150 lumens, and the lower threshold is from 50 lumens. Traffic safety sometimes directly depends on the brightness of the side lights, since failure to inform in a timely manner that your vehicle is starting to slow down can lead to an accident.
- Construction . In the design of cheap Chinese light bulbs, the base is made of plastic. In this case, there is a high risk of melting, since plastic is by no means a heat-resistant material. If the part gets very hot, the plastic begins to melt and, as a result, the light bulb fails too early. More expensive models feature high-quality plastic that is heat-resistant. With increased brightness, the incandescent lamp begins to produce heat, which heats the lampshade. Therefore, recently the most popular are baseless lamps, the contacts of which are made on the basis of a glass plate and a sand board. Incandescent lamps are also very energy-intensive. With increased electricity consumption, fuel consumption begins to increase. When choosing a light bulb, it is also worth remembering to save energy.
- Price . The side light bulb is one of those car parts that you definitely shouldn’t skimp on. By buying lamps at low prices, you run the risk of replacing such lamps too often, and in the end, such “savings” will only lead to more serious expenses. It is best to purchase lamps from trusted manufacturers such as Osram and Phillips.
Purpose
The front lights are called head lamps; they are located in the headlight unit in front of the car on both sides. They are the outermost ones in the lighting system, and owe their name to the fact that they show the width of the car to oncoming vehicles.
The rear lights are intended for exactly the same mission—so that you can be seen by those driving behind you. This is especially true when overtaking; you don’t want someone to hit your “swallow” without seeing its real size.
Hence the important advice: if it suddenly happens that you need to go at all costs and you discover that the light bulb in the left side light has burned out, replacing it with a new one is impossible due to the lack of one, don’t be lazy and move it from the right side. And we will tell you how to do this.
Opel Zafira Prototype #2 › Logbook › #2 Eliminating fogging of rear lights
Hi all! As many people probably understand, my car was bought second-hand. Before me, it was managed by 3 owners, namely: a Girl from Moscow, a Girl from Kovrov, a Man from Vladimir. And, of course, it is clear to me that the fair half of humanity will not eliminate Opel’s “childhood diseases” (which include fogging of the rear lights). But I didn’t expect this from a friend from Vladimir (a very handy man, it seemed to me). Well, okay, we won’t talk about this, but rather let’s see what we have today... And today we have a fairly deep puddle in the left lamp... and this raises concerns...
Full size Foggy headlight with What, you ask? And the fact that in the cold this puddle will freeze, it will begin to burst, and at a certain moment “WHAM”, and the rear light glass may shatter... and it’s not cheap... In general, even though it’s cold outside, you need to do it, otherwise it will get worse later . We will need a special tool... but we won’t need anything. This is good news from the German, the taillight can be removed with bare hands.
Full size Unfasten the decorative luggage compartment lids
Full sizeUpper
Full size Lower Having unscrewed the headlight and disconnected the wiring, we get several small holes in the body, which, just in case, we seal with tape (snow + vandals = muck inside the car).
Full size We seal the holes and we still have the coveted “lambs” in our hands.
Full size P.S. and why don’t they use this at AvtoVAZ? With the right headlight everything is much simpler... there’s only one cover, there’s almost no wiring, and it’s even faster to remove it than the left headlight (and even though it doesn’t sweat, but if “Ostap got carried away”)
Full size Let's unscrew these too Technical information Condensate (lat. condensatus - compacted, thickened) is water formed (precipitated) from the air on the surfaces of structures or in their internal layers. The reason for condensation is that air with sufficient humidity is cooled to the temperature at which condensation occurs (the so-called “dew point”). The reason for condensation in car headlights is that there is air with sufficient humidity in the car headlight. As the air outside the car cools, the air inside the headlight begins to condense on the inner walls of the headlight and reflectors. The reason for condensation in the rear headlights of the Opel Zafira B is the lack of tightness of the headlight. Moreover, this is clearly a design development. The light bulbs are inserted into the headlight using a board that does not fit tightly to the body. The gaps there are quite large. A certain tightness of the structure is ensured by a rubber seal around the headlight circle, but if you have not put it on correctly, or there has been quite heavy rain/snow/hail, then this seal may not hold up, and moist air will break inside the headlight, causing the previously described effect. Also, moist air can enter due to the leakage of the body of the headlight itself (the joints of plastic parts), which can also cause a problem for the motorist. The END And so, we've gone over the technique, let's get back to our ram headlights.
The headlights are disassembled, housing leaks are looked for, and all parts are washed. Next comes drying. The longest process. If necessary, you can use Vodka during the drying process if you lose your nerves using a thin stick to wipe the inner surface of the headlight housing (then there will be no stains from chlorinated city water inside the headlight).
Full size We dry the headlights at speed 1, keeping the hair dryer away from the body. It is advisable to keep children away from the process (fumes and all that).
Full size Additionally, we wipe the outer side of the headlight with polish. Now we take regular silicone sealant (colorless), and if you want to save money, cover up the cracks that were found during the bathing process. If you are a big spender like me, spread the sealant along the entire contour of the headlight, carefully removing the excess with a finger dipped in soapy water.
Full size Apply sealant along the contour of the headlight And then comes the fun part. We take a stool and climb onto the uppermost mezzanine. From there we get a box with old shoes... no, don’t think, we don’t need shoes, but the box contains something that will be useful to us. Selica gel is a solid hydrophilic sorbent. With its help, shoe manufacturers remove excess moisture from shoes and retain it during transportation and storage, but we, motorists, can find other uses for this substance.

How to change the bulbs in the headlights of Renault Logan
The Renault Logan headlight bulb is very easy to change. It is located under the low/high beam lamp. To change it, you should turn the socket counterclockwise, remove the socket with the lamp from the headlight, and pull the lamp out of the socket. Then repeat the same steps in reverse order with the new lamp.
The Renault Logan low/high beam lamp is located closer to the center of the headlight unit. First you need to squeeze the clamps and remove the lamp cover. Then disconnect the power connector and remove the rubber seal. Next, fold back the fixing bracket and remove the lamp from the headlight. Install in reverse order.
The Renault Logan turn signal lamp is located closer to the outer edge of the headlight unit. To change it, you should turn the socket a quarter turn counterclockwise, then remove the socket along with the lamp. Next, disconnect the old lamp and insert a new one, then return the socket with the new lamp back to the headlight.
Renault Logan side lights ensure the safety of the car when parked at night. Their failure may result in a warning or fine. If the outline of the car is not properly illuminated, there is a danger both for the car itself and for cars passing by. Many owners, when a fault occurs with the dimensions, contact a service station.
This takes a long time and requires payment for the work performed. Replacing a Renault Logan parking lamp yourself will not take so much time and will not require serious labor costs. However, the different designs of the front and rear headlights require the use of their own replacement techniques. This requires experience and skills, so you should find out the technique for performing the work in advance.
How to replace side light bulbs on Renault Logan: video and photos
Any modern car has a wide variety of lighting bulbs. Some of them illuminate the interior of the car, while others provide visibility on the road. One of these important types of lamps is the side lighting lamp, thanks to which at night or in conditions of limited visibility you can easily distinguish the dimensions of the car.

Replacing the front light bulb on a Renault Logan
Many Renault Logan owners, when the light bulbs fail, go to a service station to replace them. But the problem can be solved on your own. Changing a parking light bulb is as easy as changing any other bulb. Moreover, if you have an alarm connected to these lights, the bulbs may burn out more often than usual.
Since each such light element has its own expiration date, no one is immune from the fact that one of them fails along the way and will have to be urgently replaced. In this article we will talk in detail about how to change the side light bulb on a Renault Logan.
Front headlight
Block headlight (auto edition)
In Logan, block headlights are installed, and therefore in one design there are low beam and high beam lamps and direction indicators. When replacing any of the lamps, it is not necessary to disconnect the battery. The fog lights are located separately from the headlight unit at the bottom of the bumper; more information about replacing the lamp in them is here.
The process of replacing marker lamps in detail
Some owners remove the block lamp completely, but this is a lot of unnecessary steps. My hand can easily fit into the gap, even where the battery is!
- Use the head to remove the headlight unit.
- Then you need to disconnect the negative wire from the headlight.
- Remove the entire front bumper.
- Disconnect the headlight range control cable.
- To move the headlight to the side you need to unscrew three screws.
To replace a side lighting element, no additional equipment is required; the process will not take more than 5 minutes.
- In order to replace the lamp, you need to open the hood and feel on the headlight unit for the side lamp socket, which is located just below the headlight lamp.
- Finding the lamp body by touch is not difficult. We took out the socket and tried to remove the burnt out lamp.
- Next, turn the cartridge to the left and remove it from the headlight housing. The lamp has been removed and we are preparing to install a new parking light lamp.
- To replace the lamp, just pull it. It is only necessary to remove the light bulb from the housing while wearing cotton gloves.
LED lamps
Some Loganovods recommend using diode lamps when replacing. They reduce current consumption and improve visibility on the road
We recommend that you pay attention to lamps with at least 13 diodes
Installing diode lamps will not replace your requirement to drive with daytime running lights or fog lights on.
Conventional and LED lamps for side lights
Installing LED lights is no different from conventional ones. And the light from diodes is better, the current consumption is also less. The most important thing is to make the right choice.

When replacing a lamp at the rear of a car, there are also some features that must be taken into account when carrying out the work.
- Here, before starting work, you will need to disconnect the negative from the battery.
- Unfold the trunk lining.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear markers. Disconnect the power harness
- We unscrew the two screws, for this you will need a screwdriver with an asterisk (two plastic nuts, if it is a Logan 2 phase). Two lambs are marked with arrows
- Pull the headlight towards you and remove it. Removing the rear parking light unit
- The panel with light bulbs is attached to 3 latches, remove it and change the burnt out lamp. This is what the location of the signals on the Logan taillight circuit board looks like.
- Find the burnt out lamp by lightly pressing it, turn it and remove it from the socket. Insert the new lamp and turn it until it stops.
- After this, the lantern can be assembled in the reverse order of removal.
When carrying out this work, you must be careful, as you will have to come into contact with other elements of the system.
It is not recommended to touch the lamps with your fingers. The work must be done with clean gloves.
Based on the above, we can conclude that replacing the side lamps in the front and rear headlights is quite simple, the main thing is to follow the sequence of actions.
Workflow Description
Preparation
How to change the low beam bulb on a Priora List of required actions
If the low beam on a VAZ 2107 has disappeared and as a result of the check it is found that the lamps are to blame, then you should purchase new products. This model uses the AKG12-60+55 modification with an H4 socket; this marking indicates that the product has a power of 60 W for high beam and 55 W for low beam; you can purchase such an element at any store that deals in spare parts for domestic cars.
The working process
A huge advantage of the work is that, unlike modern models, access to the headlights is not limited in any way; this greatly simplifies doing the work yourself and allows you to achieve the best result, since you are in complete control of the process.
Important! To prevent the battery contacts from oxidizing during operation, you should protect them with lubricant; if there is no special composition, then ordinary grease would be an excellent option - it will protect lead from oxidation and ensure excellent contact over a long period of time
- If there is no low beam on a VAZ 2107 on only one side, then you can replace one lamp, although experts advise installing two at once, since the light may vary. One way or another, the work begins with any headlight that is convenient for you, first wipe the inside, since most often it is dirty and debris can get inside later.
- First of all, it is necessary to remove the plug, which covers the installation site of the light bulb and serves as protection against moisture and dirt getting inside the housing. This element is removed very simply: grab it and turn it counterclockwise until it comes off, usually this happens in half or even a quarter of a turn.
Advice! When disconnecting a block, it is better to immediately check how well the wires fit, since long-term use may cause the connection to break.
Next you will see a spring clamp that presses the lamp to the body and ensures its immobility during operation. To release it, you need to press the element on top and carefully move it to the side, everything is very simple and very quickly, when you see this knot, you can easily figure out how this is done.
Repair
How to change the low beam light bulb on a Priora?
list of required actions As has already been said, driving a car in the evening or at night is prohibited if the side lights are not on, so let’s look for the cause and then eliminate it.
If you are sure that the paths through which electricity passes are in good condition, the first thing to do is check to see if the lamps have burned out. And if they need a replacement, do it.
For the head lamp, the replacement procedure is as follows:
- Open the hood;
- We disconnect the battery, or even better, remove it. After all, we are talking about electricity, which is unsafe;
- From the engine compartment, holding the lamp with your hand, disconnect the wires directly going to the light bulb from the block;
- Remove the rubber cover;
- We move the latch to the side, disengaging the spring from the hook;
- We take out the size bulb;
- We replace it with a new one and put everything back together.
When the replacement is made, we check whether the head lamps are on.
Light bulbs in the rear dimensions on a VAZ 2110 are installed as follows:
- We de-energize the car;
- From the trunk (open) side, remove the contact part of the rear light with lamps. To do this, you need to release the latches;
- Remove the headlight bulb and replace it with a new one.
Do not forget that you cannot touch the halogen lamp with your bare hands. Replacement must be done with gloves. The fact is that dark spots will appear where you touch the light bulb. In addition, it has been proven that such a light bulb burns out much faster.
Replacing the turn signal lamp:
1) In this case, everything is very simple, first of all, you will need to understand where this lamp is located, so that it is more clear to you, see the photo below:
Note! As you already understood, in the photo the arrow indicates only the chamber or, as it is also called, the lamp base, but the lamp itself is not visible, so in order for you to be able to see it and easily remove and change it, grab this base part with your hand and then turn it it clockwise by a small degree, and thereby remove it from there!
2) When the base together with the lamp itself is removed, grab the light bulb with your hand (Indicated by the arrow) and then slightly press on it and turn it counterclockwise and remove this lamp.
Note! When you install a new lamp, make sure that it fits into the grooves, one of them is indicated by an arrow in the photo, and when it fits in there all the way, turn it so that it locks, and after fixing, check that it doesn’t fly out of there!
Important! When you buy a new lamp for either low beam or high beam, be sure to look at the markings that are placed on the base of the bulb, because cars may have bulbs for low beam, for example H1, and for high beam, for example H4, and therefore if If you also install an H1 lamp on the high beam, then both headlight units will shine differently! (Different lamps can only be installed by the previous owner of your car, because from the factory, as mentioned a little earlier, the same H1 bulbs were installed on both the high and low beams)
By the way, before changing the lamp, check the fuse that goes to it; perhaps it has simply blown and because of this the lamp does not work!

How to replace a side lamp on a Nissan Qashqai with your own hands
Side lights ensure vehicle safety both during parking and while driving. They must always be in good condition. If the lights burn out, you should not continue to operate the vehicle, but replace the headlight bulbs.
Where is the marker lamp located, its functions
Front and rear lights ensure the safety of both the vehicle and pedestrians. They light up in the dark when moving, and also remain on when the car is parked on the roadway or side of the road.
The main function of any size is to attract the attention of other drivers in the dark and show them the size of the car. During the daytime, these lighting elements are not used, since bright sunlight makes them dim and almost invisible.
The front marker lights must be white and remain on continuously at night and in poor visibility conditions. This instruction is contained in the traffic rules and must be followed by all drivers without exception.
The rear side lamps are also located on the same line and, according to the requirements, must be red.
Important! Tail lights, regardless of what type of lamps are installed in them, should not shine brighter than brake lights and direction indicators. And if for some reason one of the elements does not light, the violator may receive a fine. If a malfunction is detected and the lights burn out, you should immediately replace the failed element
You can find many different videos on the Internet on how to replace a side lamp on different Nissan Qashqai models.
If a malfunction is detected and the lights burn out, you should immediately replace the failed element. You can find many different videos on the Internet on how to replace a side lamp on different Nissan Qashqai models.
On Nissan Qashqai 2011–2012, as well as all other models, the front dimensions are located in the headlights.
Replacement features
Replacing the front headlight lamp is carried out in the following sequence:
- The hood should be opened and secured in this position.
- Remove the negative terminal from the battery (if the size in the left headlight is being replaced, then the air duct must also be removed).
- The socket with the burnt out lamp is unscrewed clockwise and removed from the headlamp.
On Nissan Qashqai, the front marker headlights are simple baseless type W5W 12V.
A new one is installed in place of the burnt out lamp.
Replacement of the rear light bulb (it is necessary to install a P21W lighting element) is carried out according to the following algorithm:
- The trunk door opens and the bolts that secure the headlight unit are unscrewed.
- The clamps are removed, and the headlight is pulled towards itself.
- The latches in the base are pressed out and the side lamp (top) is removed.
- A new light bulb is installed in place of the burned out one.
- Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
Conclusion
Changing side lights, both front and rear, on a Nissan Qashqai is quite simple. You can completely handle this yourself without going to a service station. Timely replacement of these elements will help avoid fines, and will also make movement and parking at night safe.
Criteria for selecting side lamps
To choose the right lamps for side lights, consider the following parameters:
- Lamp brightness. Rated by luminous flux and measured in lumens. An ordinary incandescent lamp has a luminous flux of 50 lm. Your parking lights are designed to indicate the dimensions of your vehicle. They must not blind road users. That is why the dimensions should not emit a luminous flux of more than 150 Lm. The optimal value is from 50 to 100 lm.
- Lamp design. Cheap Chinese lamps have a plastic base that can melt when the lamp heats up. More expensive models are equipped with a base made of heat-resistant plastic. Please note that at very high brightness, an incandescent lamp will generate heat that can melt the lampshade. There are new products in the form of lamps without bases. Their contacts are made on a glass plate of sand board.
- Price. Do not buy lamps that are too cheap, otherwise you will have to change them very often. Do not buy lamps from Aliexpress - you risk getting a fake that does not have current stabilization. Decent lamps are made by Phillips and Osram. Do not buy too expensive lamps: they have high brightness and a short service life.
Sequencing
- Disconnect the negative headlight;
- We remove the front bumper and clear the approach to the body mount;
- We turn out the bolts of the headlight unit;
- Carefully disconnect the cable drive of the light corrector;
- We unscrew the three screws holding the headlight unit and tilt it to the side;

Headlights in Hyundai Solaris
The headlights in the Hyundai Solaris are made in an elegant style. It would be appropriate to say that truly high-quality car lighting equipment has a significant impact on the driving process, and is also the key to increased safety and preservation of the health and life of the driver and passengers.
The teardrop-shaped headlights are located at the corners of the Hyundai Solaris. In addition to its aggressive appearance, this placement makes it possible to effectively regulate the geometry of the light flux. By the way, the direction of the beam is controlled from inside the car using the dashboard.
The Hyundai Solaris has the possibility of not only standard adjustment, but also adjustment of the headlights depending on driving conditions and the number of people in the car. It is known that the presence of additional luggage or cargo makes the clearance between the bottom of the car and the road surface less. This factor must be taken into account when adjusting the headlights in the Hyundai Solaris. In addition, adjusting the lighting in such conditions will help reduce the likelihood of dazzling drivers of oncoming vehicles.
Mounting the front headlight in the Hyundai Solaris and its varieties
The front lighting fixtures on the Hyundai Solaris are fixed in four places and secured with three bolts and one mounting clip. The lower part of the headlight is equipped with special protrusions, which are used to securely attach it to the car body.
The turning and lighting lamps are located in a common compartment under a common cover, but the marker lamp is located separately and is fixed in a hole specially designed for this purpose. The placement and shape of the headlights in the Hyundai Solaris does not depend on the body and modification of the car and is always identical.
This feature greatly simplifies the choice of lighting equipment to replace with a Hyundai Solaris. The same headlights are available for both the hatchback and the sedan. It would be appropriate to say that all trim levels of this car are equipped with fog lights. The only exceptions are the classic version of the Hyundai Solaris and Optima.
A car's rear lights vary in shape and include side lamps, brake lights and turn signals. In addition, depending on the type of body, they can also be different. All three lighting fixtures are fixed using special bolts and mounting clips.
Replacing headlights
The need to remove the headlights on a Hyundai Solaris car arises in the case of replacement with new ones, tinting, polishing, tuning and repair.
After the process of removing and installing the headlight on the Hyundai Solaris, it is necessary to adjust the direction of the light beam.
A regular headlight is shown in the picture below.
The restyled headlight is somewhat different in appearance.
In order to remove the headlight on a Hyundai Solaris, you will need to remove the front bumper.
Unscrew the negative terminal of the battery.
Turn the turn signal lamp socket and remove it from the housing. Disconnect the connector by releasing the latches.
The headlight is secured with four bolts (two on top and two on the sides). Use 10 mm socket wrenches to unscrew them.
Disconnect the connector by pressing the latch.
Now we can remove the headlight of the Hyundai Solaris.
Place it on a soft cloth to avoid scratches.
Rotate the dirt boot.
Disconnect the wire block from the H4 lamp (low-high beam). Remove the spring retainer with your finger. We take out the lamp and place it on a clean surface without touching the glass.
Installation on the vehicle is carried out in reverse order.

Optics repair on Logan
In Renault Logan, like in many classic VAZs, one lamp is responsible for the high and low beam in the headlight, and that is what we will be changing.
If you change the lamp on the left headlight (in the direction of travel), then first remove the battery, otherwise getting to the lamp will be problematic.
To get to the lamp, first of all, remove the back cover of the headlight, carefully prying it off with something sharp.
Under the cover there is a plug with wires that must be carefully removed without damaging the wiring.
After this, having removed the O-ring with your hands, we proceed directly to dismantling the lamp, which is attached in the classical way, that is, with a metal bracket that must be pushed up so that it can be easily removed.
By throwing the bracket to the side, you can grab the base and remove the lamp.
Important! Never touch the lamp with your bare hands, only use clean gloves or a clean rag. Greasy fingerprints are “deadly” to the flask
Taking a new lamp, install it in the reverse order. Once in the special grooves and fixing the lamp with your finger, we put on the mounting bracket and fix it. One of the lamp contacts must be positioned vertically.
Then we put on the O-ring and connect the contact to the wires.
We put on the cap, and the work of replacing the low and high beam lamps is completed. On the right headlight we do the same thing, except that we don’t need to remove the battery.

We told you how to change the high and low beam lamp on a Renault Logan headlight without removing it from its place. But there are simpler options: replacing a removed headlight, this is both more convenient and simpler. Most often this is done when replacing a lamp with a more powerful one on a newly purchased headlight, or if the headlight was removed for replacement.
In any case, it is preferable to change light bulbs on a removed headlight, although this requirement is not mandatory, we will tell you about this. We hope that with our help, novice drivers will save time and money. After all, although the headlights on Renault Logan of different years of production are the same, each has its own nuances.
Replacing side light bulbs in pre-restyling models
To do this, you must first prepare the car as indicated above (place it on a flat surface and turn off the engine), and then begin installation work:
- Open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the battery (to avoid a short circuit).
- Remove the plugs that go to the lamps, and then remove the element into which the plug is installed.
- Turn the light bulb clockwise 45 - 60 degrees, then remove the spare part. To remove the lamp, gently pull it towards you. The socket itself first rotates along with the light source, then it is removed.
- Install a new light bulb and carry out the reverse dismantling.

Replacing rear light bulbs on Renault Logan
By pressing the turn signal lamp 2 and turning it counterclockwise, remove the lamp from the holder socket. It should not be too high so as not to blind drivers driving behind.
The test can be done using a multimeter or by installing a known good fuse. The same applies to the failure of the sensor that turns on the brake lights. They can be used not only for additional brake lights, but also for markers.
To avoid such a problem, you need to regularly clean the terminals and coat them with a special lubricant.
Replacing the bulb in the main brake light is no more difficult than replacing the low beam bulb.
In this case, you need to disconnect the battery and begin replacement work. To do this, you need to perform the following manipulations: Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear markers; if your front marker lamp has burned out, then read the material: Two thumbs are marked with arrows. Pull the headlight towards you and remove it. We put everything back together; on the other headlight the work is done in the same way.
Replacing the license plate light bulb is almost the same. When replacing, do not touch the lamp bulb; any grease that gets on it will speed up its failure.
Replacing a brake light bulb on a Renault Logan in a new body. The replacement is similar, only the mountings of the rear parking lights have changed slightly. The rear dimensions are secured with one wing, which must be unscrewed. After this, pull the headlight towards you.

How to change the side light bulb on a Kia Rio - selection and replacement
The method for replacing side light bulbs on a Kia Rio is simple and does not require the use of special knowledge or special skills.
How to do it
In the technical documentation for the car, replacing the parking light bulb provides the following options:
- Failed front parking light bulbs are removed from the engine compartment of the car, and:
- remove the casing from the back of the headlight;
- remove the light bulb holder located under the sockets of the low and high beam sources;
- remove the damaged one and install a new light bulb;
- the holder is placed in its regular place;
- check the side light; if the result is satisfactory, close the rear headlight casing.
- Removal and replacement of the combined lamp (brake signal and side lights) is carried out in the following sequence:
- lift the luggage compartment lid;
- lift the valve located on the trunk lining;
- turn the socket counterclockwise and remove it from the lamp housing;
- dismantle by pressing the lamp base and turning it counterclockwise;
- Having replaced, install the holder on the seat, ensuring that the shape of the combined lamp matches the grooves exactly.
For the front position lights, an incandescent or LED lamp with a W5W socket is used. The combined brake and side light lamp is marked P21/5W.
Special case of replacement
According to reviews from Kia Rio car owners, it is not always possible to remove the front side light bulb from the car's engine compartment for replacement, since it is located below the low and high beam holders, and the access hole is of insufficient size. If such a problem occurs, it is recommended to replace it by removing the headlight. For this:
- unscrew the bolt above the headlight, move two valves on the radiator side, pulling them up;
- release from the soft locking latch located at the bottom and closer to the car fender, directly during the removal process;
- pull out the side of the headlight located near the radiator a moment earlier;
- Having released the headlight, disconnect the electrical power connector;
- remove the holder and replace the light bulb.
Recommendations and tips
It is worth recalling that work related to the repair or replacement of electrical equipment requires disconnecting the power from the vehicle battery.
When working with car lamps, it is imperative to use cloth gloves. It is not advisable to touch the glass surface of light bulbs with your fingers, especially halogen ones. Minimal contamination or traces of fat will cause their rapid failure. If this cannot be avoided, you need to wipe the surface with an alcohol-containing solution and let it dry. Eliminate the possibility of mechanical impact on the light device in the form of impacts or compression. Do not use such lamps during installation even if there are no visible defects - we cannot predict their service life
To avoid damage due to negligence, it is recommended that after connecting the car to the network, immediately close the lamps in the lamps or headlights. The lamp is inserted into the socket with minimal effort; excess pressure is not allowed. Changing the horizontal position, much less using a lever, after installation in its original place is not recommended

Let's sum it up
After reading the tips outlined in this article, the question “how to change the parking light on a Kia Rio” becomes irrelevant.
Instructions for replacing lamps
Inside the headlight units of different cars there are 2 types of lamps and connectors - old and new (restyling). Replacing a pre-restyling type side light bulb is performed as follows:
- Once you reach the back of the headlight, disconnect the power supply connector to the light element. There is no need to disconnect the sockets of powerful headlight lamps.
- Grasp the connector and rotate 45–60° counterclockwise. Remove the element from the slot.
- Carefully pull the light bulb out by the base without rotating it around its own axis.
- Insert the new one in its place, making sure that the contacts line up correctly.
- Connect the wires and check the functionality of the new part, then reassemble the unit in the reverse order.
Note. On different vehicle models, old-type elements can be rotated in different directions - clockwise and counterclockwise.
When installing a purchased lamp, you should not touch the base with your bare hands, as warned by the instructions included with each product. Before installation, wrap the glass flask with a soft rag or put on cloth gloves.
Updated versions of elements differ in overall dimensions and installation method. Replacing the lamp is done in the same way, only you do not need to disconnect the connectors and turn the socket - the part is removed from the socket along with the wires.
Another thing is that access to the light bulb is often limited - you cannot grasp the socket with your hand. In such cases, 2 options are practiced:
- use a special tool;
- First pull out the large headlight bulb, then take out the side light bulb.
The owners of some cars use the free space behind the headlights to install a gearbox that operates in liquefied gas engine power systems. Removing the unit to replace the lamp can be quite difficult.
Changing the light elements of the rear “dimensions” is much easier. The main work is removing the plastic and fabric trim from the luggage compartment side. The light bulbs are removed from the sockets in the manner described above.
How to convert turn signals to dimensions
How to make side turn signals larger? To make the dimensions in the turn signals, you can contact a specialist, but as an option, you can redo the side turn signals yourself. It must be taken into account that the dimensions in the turn signals are a violation. Therefore, if the side turn signals are converted to this type of optics, you may face a fine.
If you still decide to change the purpose of the turn signals, then do the following:
- First of all, you need to open the hood and remove the corresponding lamp. Here you need to be guided by the design features of the car, the process will be individual.
- Remove the lamp.
- Pull out the ground wire. To convert the turn signals, this wire should be connected to the power cable for the side lights.
Changing side lights on Renault Logan
Mnemonics is one of the most important functional systems of Renault Logan. The dimensional signal lighting plays a particularly significant role. Side lights help neighboring vehicles maneuver carefully next to your car. If there are no dimensions, then other road users may not calculate the size of the vehicle and ram the edge of the car. If the signal lights begin to malfunction, then the side light bulbs are replaced. This procedure is simple and will not take much of your time and effort.
What do you need to repair Renault Logan yourself?
- Medical gloves (wear when handling new light bulbs)
- Side light bulbs W5W (4 pcs) (as in the photo)
- Phillips head screwdriver (for removing rear markers)
Please note that if you handle the glass of the lamp with greasy or dirty fingers, the lighting will fail 5-10 times faster than the stated service life. Therefore, we take the lamps out of the packages and install them strictly wearing medical gloves.
Now we move on to our Renault Logan, replacing the lamp is carried out from the front side, and then from the back.

Replacing front side lights
- Disconnect the battery terminal
- We reach into the headlight unit with our hand from inside the hood and try to feel the socket with the side light bulb (it is located immediately under the low/high beam)
- Unscrew the cartridge counterclockwise. To do this, you need to rotate the cartridge 90°
- We pull out the burnt out light bulb, put on gloves and take out a new light bulb from the packaging and insert it in place of the worn one.
- Putting the cartridge back
- It is highly desirable that the light bulb in Logan be replaced in the front headlight and on the back side.
By the way, here is the video instruction:
Replacing rear side lights
- Disconnect the terminal blocks on the battery
- Unfold the trunk trim (in the area of the headlights)
- Unplug the headlight power connector
- Unscrew the upper and lower fasteners with a screwdriver. Please note that when replacing the side light bulbs on a Logan II (2016), instead of self-tapping screws, plastic clips are installed; they need to be unscrewed by hand
- Removing the headlight
- We replace a burnt out light bulb. To do this, you need to put a little pressure on the light bulb and turn it slightly. We take out the worn lamp and insert a new one (pressed and turned)
- Putting the headlight in place
- When servicing Renault Logan, lamp replacement should be carried out immediately from both sides

Light Source Recommendations
Some experts recommend using a diode analogue instead of the classic W5W light bulb. There are side light bulbs with 13 diodes. This is an energy efficient lighting option.
These two types of light bulbs are approximately equivalent in cost, but diode light is stronger and uses slightly less electricity.
I hope it has become clear to you how to replace a light bulb in Logan in the front headlight and on the rear side.
Let's sum it up
On some modern premium cars, it is not possible to even change a light bulb yourself. Whether this is good or bad, we cannot say for sure. But on budget models this option is available. Moreover, it is advisable to carry out the replacement yourself, because there is nothing complicated or impossible here.
Visiting a service station to replace a marker lamp is not the best solution. This way you will waste much more money and precious time. And when you replace it yourself, you will gain valuable experience that will be useful in the future. It is recommended to take a burnt-out lamp to a car dealership and buy a similar one. You shouldn’t chase more powerful lighting devices, they usually only bring problems. On some brands of cars, like Renault Logan, replacing a lamp is more difficult than on others. But nothing is impossible, so it’s definitely worth addressing this issue.
