Cars from the Ulyanovsk plant are widely used not only in the Russian Federation, but also abroad. The UAZ loaf, which is often tuned by car owners, has high technical performance. In addition, when installing large earrings, you must adhere to the technique of making the tie as strong as possible.
- Installation of various spacers. Typically a bridge-spring spacer is used. This method has many advantages: simplicity, minimal cost of money and time, and the ability to carry out the operation in your own garage.
- Spring springing. For some reason, ordinary motorists placed this technology solely on the shoulders of professionals, considering this manipulation to be extremely complex, although this is not the case. The principle of operation is to install additional cushions under the springs. It doesn't matter whether they are metal, polyurethane or rubber - the main thing is that they are able to last long enough.
External tuning of the “Loaf”
The owners carry out tuning of the UAZ loaf car not only inside, but also outside. The body is treated with anti-corrosion materials. This protects the metal from the negative effects of the environment.
Additional lighting is installed on the car. This allows you to use the UAZ in poor visibility conditions. For additional lighting, choose LED lights. They consume a minimal amount of electricity. This allows you to reduce the load on the generator when the car is moving at night.

The profile is also welded from the inside. In this case, it is customary to place 10 mm stitches every 80-100 millimeters.

Some perform off-road tuning on the UAZ loaf. This increases the vehicle's cross-country ability. In order to improve cross-country ability, the vehicles are being modernized:
- Wheelbase;

Basics
Before we tell you how to lift a UAZ loaf, let’s understand that there are two types of car lifting (depending on exactly how the intervention in the car’s structure is carried out):

- suspension lift.
The first option is more simple and at the same time much more secure. What does security have to do with it? The fact is that body lifting practically does not change the car’s center of gravity, so the loaf’s stable behavior when cornering or off-road is maintained.
As for the suspension lift, there is a certain risk due to the increase in the center of gravity, but this method significantly improves cross-country ability.

Engine compartment

Steering column

Seats

Body and bumper
If the car body rusts, then:
- clean it of dirt by first disassembling it;
- trim areas that are already susceptible to corrosion;
- Weld the pads and paint the surface using primer and emulsion paint.
It is better to apply the emulsion in two layers, waiting for each of them to dry. This way the paint will adhere better. Another tuning option is to make the body wider or longer by changing its shape.
Don't forget to strengthen the bumper by hanging a special frame on it. A ready-made kit with it can be purchased at almost any automobile store. If you cannot install it, it is better to contact a specialized salon.
Body kits and kangurin
When using the vehicle in difficult conditions, the UAZ is equipped with kengurin and reinforced bumpers. They protect the body from damage from impacts from branches and stones.
Unique reinforced body kits and kengurin can be obtained in two ways:
- Order the manufacture of the product from professional welders. Workers will produce bumpers and kangaroos strictly according to the drawings;
- Make the parts yourself. This will require certain skills.

Bridge breathers
When driving a UAZ 452 through water, water may enter the bridges through the breathers. Water getting into the gear housing leads to increased friction between the parts of the mechanism. Due to increased friction, the unit may fail.
When driving off-road, car owners upgrade their axle breathers. For this:
- Unscrew the breathing valve;
- A hose from the brake system of a Gazelle car is installed at the mounting location of the breathing valve;
- The second hose fitting is connected to a flexible rubber hose using an adapter;
- The adapter in the hose is clamped with a clamp;
- The second edge of the flexible hose is secured in a place inaccessible to water (in the engine compartment);
When the car is driven off-road, water does not enter the bridge through the breathing valve. The crankcase is in communication with the atmosphere through a hose.

Winch
You definitely can't do without it. It’s hardly worth relying on someone’s help far from populated areas and roads. For the UAZ 452, winches with a force of 4 tons or more are suitable (taking into account the load of the vehicle). A good option is a device from Comeupwinch (DV-9 series). Its reliability has been tested many times, and with proper installation, the mechanism will function flawlessly for decades.
It is worth paying attention to the winch cable. It is advisable to replace the existing metal one with Kevlar (for example, Amsteel Blue from the American company Samson or similar). It is lighter, stronger, and safer to use.
