On modern cars, there is a different factory way to turn off the alarm. It differs from maneuvers with pedals, since you will have to interact exclusively with the Valet button and the ignition.
To do this, you need to take a few simple steps:
- Open the door with a regular key. This will activate the security system, the siren, and the turn signals will flash.
- Then turn on the ignition for a couple of seconds and turn it off immediately. The engine does not need to be started in all subsequent versions, only the ignition.
- Then the Valet button is pressed and held for several seconds.

How to turn off a car alarm
If the security module is out of order and does not respond to commands sent from the control panel, but at the same time gives an alarm, then the first step is to turn off the sound emitter (bell).

After removal, you need to delete all existing data from the device’s memory, and this is not so easy - you have several options:
- You can try to modify the control unit by resoldering the chip resistor. The unit itself is connected to the computer, then, using a special bootloader, the firmware is read. Then new firmware is installed on the element, after which the chip must be soldered again to the installation site.
- You don’t have to touch the chip, but then use the Combiset utility (the author of the video is Video74revieW).
Causes of alarm malfunction
To begin with, we will dwell in detail on the reasons why it is not possible to disable the car alarm using the key fob. Most often they are the following:
- radio interference;
- failure of the alarm key fob;
- car battery discharge.
Radio interference
It may not be possible to unlock the car if there is interference that prevents the signal from the alarm remote control from reaching its target. Interference can be created, for example, by car alarms in a parking lot or other sources with a similar frequency of radio waves. Eliminating this reason is very simple. It is enough to bring the key fob closer to the alarm control unit, which is located on the driver's side, and try to unlock the car again.
Failure of the key fob
Perhaps the problem is not interference at all, but that the battery on your key fob is dead, or it is faulty for another reason. If you have a one-way key fob, press any button and see if the indicator light turns on. If this does not happen, the battery needs to be replaced. In the case of a two-way alarm, the battery charge level will be displayed on the key fob display. Once you find out that the problem is with the battery, you can replace it by purchasing a new one. To get into the car and drive to the nearest store that sells batteries, you can briefly “revive” a dead unit. Remove it from the key fob and tap it with a small hard object to create some deformation. It is as a result of deformation that the battery will regain activity for a short time.
It may turn out that after replacing the battery, the situation did not improve. Then try opening the car using the spare key fob. If this helps, then your main key fob is broken. If disarming the car using a spare key fob also didn’t work, you should check the car’s battery.

To find out if the battery is the source of your problem, you need to be inside the car. This can be done using a key to open the car doors. If the battery is very discharged, then after opening the door, the alarm may not go off, but most likely you will continue to act under the alarming sounds of the siren.
Once you are in the driver's seat, turn on the ignition and look at the instrument panel. If the indicators on it barely light up, or a message appears indicating that the battery is low, your assumption has been confirmed. You can restore the battery's functionality by lighting it from another car.

- The power supply circuit of the central locking controller is protected by fuse F22. This element can be replaced or simply disabled and then installed back;
- Let's say no current flows to the actuator of one door. Then find the terminal block by opening the door 90 degrees. In order for the broken contact to be restored, sometimes it is enough to disconnect the mating connector and connect it again;
- Even if the key fob is working, check whether the self-tapping screw is screwed in all the way. It is recommended to loosen the fastening a little, and then everything works reliably.
