Do-it-yourself headlight adjustment for Ford Focus 2 restyling video

How to adjust headlights on a Ford Focus 1, 2, 3 with your own hands

Cars have become firmly entrenched in every family and have become excellent assistants in most tasks.
Car owners often choose the Ford Focus for its roomy interior, strong suspension, reliable power units and modern body design. When driving, every driver accidentally hits potholes on the asphalt, due to which the settings of the headlight reflectors are gradually lost. Adjustment may also be required after replacing the low and high beam lamps.

Adjusting the Ford Focus 2 headlights will help not only restore the correct beam of light, but also reduce the likelihood of blinding oncoming drivers. The correct settings have a strong impact on roadside illumination and visibility range during snowfall or rain.

Requirements

The headlight in all generations of Focus fully complies with vehicle safety requirements. The front low beam headlights produce a clear beam with a sharp edge and a step towards the curb for right-hand traffic. A separate module is responsible for the high beam, the settings of which depend on the position of the reflector of the low beam unit.

All Focus configurations are equipped with electrical beam adjustment. Models with xenon lamps are equipped with an automatic corrector; it sets the beam height according to the position of the body. Basic versions with halogen lamps allow you to adjust the beam parameters using a key in the cabin.

The cut-off line should not exceed the position of the eyes of a person driving towards you, otherwise he will be blinded, which can lead to tragic consequences. The horizontal position of the left optic must coincide with the right one. In case of deviation, adjustment of the position of the reflectors is required in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 51709-2001.

Adjusting headlights on Ford Focus 2

In Ford Focus 2, the headlights are adjusted using two screws responsible for the horizontal and vertical positions of the reflector. To set it up yourself, you need a little preparation:

  1. Check tire pressure. If necessary, inflate the tires to the required values specified in the owner's manual or the sign behind the driver's desk.
  2. Clear the luggage compartment of excess cargo.
  3. Fill the fuel tank at least halfway.
  4. Choose a flat area with a level wall (this could be a garage door, the wall of a store, a house or a level fence).
  5. Prepare your tools (tape measure, Phillips screwdriver, Torx wrenches, chalk or marker).
  6. Depending on the configuration, the adjusting screws require a Torx wrench or a “7” hexagon.

For proper adjustment, you need to thoroughly wash the headlight glass to remove dirt and insects. The headlight range control for Ford Focus 2 is set to position “0”.

Adjusting the optics does not take much time and does not require specific knowledge. To configure you need to follow the steps:

  • place the car on the site in front of the wall at a distance of exactly 3 meters;
  • open the hood, turn on the low beam;
  • measure the height of the lamp relative to the ground, transfer a line with the same height to the wall;
  • mark the center of our car with a vertical line on the wall;
  • between the centers of the beam from the left and right headlights, use a screw to set the distance to 1270 mm (the center of the beam is located at the point where the horizontal border transitions into a directional daw);
  • the position of the horizontal line is 35 mm below the previously noted height of the lamp position;
  • When the indicated values are correct, the optics adjustment can be considered complete.

In the Ford Focus 2 Restyle and Pre-Restyle, the headlight adjustment is no different, except for the location of the screws that control the light.

Ford Focus 2 fog lights: what are the cost of the lamps, replacement - LED Light

Ford Focus 2 > Car repair > Electrical equipment > Replacing the fog light bulb, removing the fog light

Ford Focus 2 fog lights are installed in the niches of the lower part of the front bumper.

Replacing lamps in the left and right fog lights, as well as removing them, are performed in the same way. These operations are performed the same on cars with all types of bodies.

It is more convenient to work on an inspection ditch, overpass or lift, but it is also possible on a flat, dry area. To replace the lamp, open the hood.

  • We unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the headlight unit (see “Removing the headlight unit, replacing Ford Focus 2 lamps”)
  • Without disconnecting the headlight block, we move it to the side so as to free access to the rear of the fog light.
  • Turn the lamp socket counterclockwise.
  • Press the latch of the wire block and disconnect it from the lamp socket connector.

We take out the socket together with the lamp (it is made integral with the socket). The fog lights use H11 lamps with a power of 55 W. Install the new lamp in reverse order.

To remove the fog lamp, move away or remove the headlight unit (see “Removing the headlight unit, replacing Ford Focus 2 lamps”).

  1. Above the rear part of the fog lamp, we feel with our finger the upper clamp of its decorative trim
  2. Press the latch (for clarity, it is shown on the removed cover).
  3. We remove the decorative trim...
  4. ...overcoming the resistance of four more clamps (visible on the back of the removed cover).
  5. Using a Torx T-25 wrench, unscrew the two screws securing the fog lamp to the bumper.
  6. We take out the fog lamp from the niche in the bumper.
  7. Press the lock of the wire block, disconnect it from the headlight connector and remove the headlight.

We install the Ford Focus 2 fog lamp in the reverse order and adjust the direction of the headlight beam (see “Adjusting the direction of the headlight beam”).

How to replace Ford Focus 2 PTF lamps with your own hands

In this manual, we will tell you how to replace PTF lamps on a Ford Focus 2 car. You can replace the lamps yourself, both with and without an overpass, in two ways. One of the methods involves dismantling the headlight, the other is dismantling the PTF itself.

What lamps are installed in the PTF of Ford Focus 2

It is worth noting that on the pre-restyling version of the model and the restyling version, the PTF and PTF lamps are different. In appearance, both the lamps and the PTF are the same, but their numbers and the type of base are different.

Lamps installed on dorestyle

  • Lamp H8 12v 35W
  • Right PTF — 1481005 Ford
  • Left PTF — 1481007 Ford
  • 1337347 — right bumper trim with hole for PTF
  • 1337349 — left bumper trim with hole for PTF

Lamps installed on the restyled version

  • Lamp H11 12v 55w
  • 1209177 — left PTF
  • 1209177 — right PTF (both fog lights are the same, suitable for both left and right sides)
  • 1671268 — right bumper trim with hole for PTF
  • 1671269 — left bumper trim with hole for PTF

The base of the H8 and H11 lamps differs slightly, but the power of the first lamp is 35W, and the second is 55W. If you install higher power lamps on dorestyle, there is a possibility that the PTFs may melt.

Setting the headlight position in Focus 3

The requirements for setting up halogen headlights in a third-generation Focus are no different from a second-generation car. The parameters of distance from the wall and the stages of preparation before carrying out work remain unchanged. The centers of the headlight beam are located at a distance of 1280 mm, since the car is slightly wider.

The main and only difference is the adjusting screw: it will require a special “8” hex key. You can purchase the tool at a car store or at the market.

Xenon lamps are installed in the maximum configurations. In this case, you will have to contact an official service with special equipment. Model 3 Focus lenses are adjusted only by an optical stand, which automatically detects the light beam and indicates the necessary settings.

First model

In the 1st generation Focus, only halogen headlights are installed from the factory. They are easy to self-adjust.

Before starting work, you need to wash the headlights, fill the tank, and clean the trunk. Adjustment is carried out at a distance of 3 m from the wall on a flat surface. Unlike the second generation FF, the height of the cut-off line should be 5 mm lower from the height of the low beam lamp to the ground line. The reflector changes position using 2 screws.

Correctly setting the headlights will not only ensure good visibility while driving, but will also not cause inconvenience to drivers in oncoming traffic. The Focus light beam must be checked at least once a year during maintenance.

How to adjust the headlights yourself?

To properly configure the head optics, you need to follow the steps:

  • Place the car headlights against the wall at a distance of 3 meters.
  • Turn on the low beam headlights and measure the height of the beam border from the ground.
  • The border of the light line should be 35 millimeters less than the height from the ground to the car light bulb.
  • When measuring, the maximum value of the distance of the center of the beam from both headlights should be 1270 millimeters.
  • For ease of adjustment, you should mark small lines on the wall with chalk or a marker where the light should fall.
  • Open the hood. Find the adjusting screws on top of the headlight; they are made to fit a regular screwdriver or a torx star.
  • The screw on the side of the car's headlight is responsible for turning left and right.
  • The screw located in the center of the headlight is responsible for the up and down tilt.
  • Using screws, adjust the beam of light along the pre-marked lines on the wall.

Adjusting the Ford Focus 2 headlights does not require much time or special knowledge. After the work has been completed, close the hood and drive through poorly lit areas. After making sure that the lighting devices are working correctly, the setup can be considered complete.

Adjusting the headlights of a Ford Focus 2 car

The famous Ford Focus II car has high-quality factory optics. Based on the vehicle configuration, external lighting is provided by a reflector and a halogen lamp or a xenon lens with an automatic washer.

Adjusting the headlights of a vehicle is a rather rare event, since the system has reliable components. However, if you fall into a deep hole in the road or have been in an accident, this could cause the lens or reflective part to move out of place. At the same time, setting up low beam headlights will not be difficult even for a novice car enthusiast.

How do you know if your headlights need adjustment?

Adjusting the low beam for popular American vehicles is necessary if the road is not well illuminated when driving at night.

There are also visual indicators of incorrect settings:

  • Oncoming cars began to blink their high beams more often when moving along the highway at night;
  • The beam of light “leans” to the left or right, insufficiently illuminating the main area of the roadway;
  • The light flux has dimmed significantly and is directed upward, highlighting the tops of houses, trees and pillars;
  • The beam is too downward, and there is very little illumination for night driving, even if you activate the high beams.

What does correct adjustment of Ford Focus II headlights affect?

Proper adjustment of the Ford Focus II light allows you to achieve the required level of safety, including excellent visibility when driving at night and in bad weather. If you neglect the settings, you can get serious problems, for example, not noticing another car on the side of the highway or excessively dazzling oncoming drivers.

Adjusting the headlights yourself is possible, but to accurately adjust all the characteristics, you will need special tools and skills. Most often, this procedure is performed at a service center, but rough adjustments are also possible “at home.”

When setting up yourself, you can use the adjusting screws located on the headlight housing, 2 on each side. One of the screws is responsible for the horizontal position of the light beam and is located in the upper rear zone of the housing, and the other is located at the bottom of the headlight and controls the vertical position of the light beam. The screws can be turned using a flathead screwdriver or a 7mm hex key.

Proper manual adjustment requires placing the vehicle on a level surface, approximately three meters from a level wall. It is worth filling a full tank of fuel, and placing a spare tire and standard tools in the trunk. This will allow the suspension to move to a position consistent with a traditionally loaded car. Experts advise placing a load weighing 60-70 kilograms on the driver’s seat; it is also necessary to set the angle of the light flux to the “0” position.

Before adjusting the headlights on a Ford Focus 2, you need to clean the headlights and check the tire pressure, bringing it to the specifications recommended by the automaker. Don't forget to take a flathead screwdriver, a tape measure, a Torx star, and a marker.

Adjusting the direction of headlight beams

It is recommended to adjust the direction of the headlight beams at a service station.

Location of light beam direction regulators on the headlight housing

: 1 - regulator of the light beam in the horizontal plane; 2 - regulator of the light beam in the vertical plane. If necessary, you can make an approximate adjustment of the direction of the light beams yourself. We adjust the direction of the headlight beams on a fully fueled and equipped car, with normal air pressure in the tires. Set the headlight range control switch to position “0” (one driver or a driver and a passenger in the front seat) and turn on the low beam headlights. Cover one of the headlights with opaque material.

By turning the regulator located closer to the axis of the car with a Phillips screwdriver or a hexagon “7”, we change the position of the light beam in the horizontal plane.

By turning the regulator located closer to the car fender with a Phillips screwdriver or a hexagon “7”, we change the position of the light beam in the vertical plane. Similarly, we adjust the direction of the light beam of the other headlight. We adjust the light beams of the fog lights under the same conditions as when adjusting the headlights. Adjustment can be done in two ways: from below the car or in the engine compartment. In the first method, remove the radiator splash guard (see “Removing the radiator shield”).

By turning the regulator with a Phillips screwdriver, we change the position of the light beam in the vertical plane. In the second method, remove the headlight block (see “Removing the headlight block, replacing lamps”).

By turning the regulator by hand, we change the position of the light beam in the vertical plane. Install the mudguard or headlight unit in the reverse order.

How to adjust Ford Focus 2 headlights

Adjusting the Ford Focus 2 headlights is a quite simple procedure, it will take about 20 minutes, and the event does not require any special skills.

You should immediately understand the versions of this generation of American car. Restyled cars went on sale in 2008 and were sold until 2011. The restyle version of the headlights has significant differences from the headlights of the base Ford Focus II model, but the filling has in no way changed. Only the shape and architecture have been adjusted, but finding the adjusting screws is not difficult, and their functionality remains the same.

We will analyze the entire setup procedure step by step and with an explanation of each action:

  • We place the vehicle opposite a smooth surface, at a distance of three meters from the wall, and place a 70-kilogram load on the driver’s seat. We make special markings on the wall, which can be downloaded in the public domain. Then you need to rock the car so that the suspension is in the correct position;
  • We measure the distance between the central area of the headlights and the floor - this will be the distance corresponding to the H-value from the markings on the wall. This may require raising the headlights.
  • We set the electric corrector knob on the dashboard to the “0” position.
  • We activate the low beam Ford Focus 2 restyling or pre-restyling. The adjustment is carried out separately for each of the headlights, and during the adjustment period the unused lamp can be covered with a clean rag.
  • We adjust the position until the flow of light on the wall completely corresponds to the applied markings.

The adjustment can be considered successful if the upper ends of the left zones of the light flux coincide with value 4 in the diagram, and vertical lines 1-2 pass through points E1-E2 intersecting the inclined and horizontal zones of the light flux. Also, correct adjustment of the low beam will ensure proper performance of the functions of the high beam lights. Adjustment of Ford Focus II fog lights can be done according to the same scheme.

Correct and timely adjustment of headlights on any car is a very important undertaking, because not only your safety, but also that of other road users depends on it. If headlights are not adjusted correctly, this significantly increases the risk of traffic accidents, since excessively high luminous flux can blind oncoming vehicles and significantly impair visibility.

If all stages are completed correctly and the recommendations are followed, even a beginner will be able to correctly adjust the headlights on his second generation Ford Focus. You will instantly see the positive effect of such simple actions, but after self-adjustment, you still need to show the car to specialists at a service station so that they can make sure that the lighting is working correctly.

However, if you are not confident in your skills and ability to independently adjust the low beam headlights of a Ford Focus 2, it is best to seek help from professionals. Service stations have special equipment for quickly and efficiently adjusting machine lights. Adjusting the light flux in a service center will not require significant financial investments, but you will be sure that all work will be carried out correctly and in compliance with safety measures.

We perform the adjustment as follows:

    We check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure to normal.

Don’t forget to set the headlight range control to position “0”.

  • We rock the car front and rear so that the suspension takes a neutral position.
  • Turn on the low beam.

    We see that the headlights are shining into the oncoming lane.

    We adjust the headlights separately, covering one of them with opaque material.

    Using the marks painted on the wall, we determine where the headlights need to be moved.

    We set the horizontal position of the light beam by rotating the adjusting screw, which is located closer to the center of the machine. The height of the border of the light spot on the wall should be approximately equal to the height of the centers of the headlights relative to the ground.

    Using a hex wrench, we set the position of the headlight reflectors using two adjusting screws.

    We adjust the position of the headlights in the vertical plane. To do this, rotate the second screw, which is located closer to the wing. We set the headlights so that the distance between the centers of the light spots on the wall is within 1250-1275 mm.

    The “checkmarks” of the light boundaries should be straight and clear.

  • If necessary, we adjust the luminous flux in road conditions using screws or a headlight angle corrector if the headlights are adjusted synchronously.
  • This way you can independently adjust the position of the headlights on the second Focus. Don't be blinded by the oncoming and successful travels to everyone!

Features of headlight adjustment

So, the headlights are adjusted using special regulators located on the body. The adjustment occurs in several stages. First, you need to ensure normal pressure in the car tires, since this affects the direction of the light flow. After this we perform the following steps:

  • we place the car on a flat surface in front of the wall at a distance of 3 meters (if there is no passenger and driver inside, then you need to put some kind of load that will be equal to them in weight);
  • we apply markings on the wall according to the established diagram (the diagram can be found on the Internet), and the transverse axis must correspond to the zero line;
  • rock the car a little so that the suspension returns to its normal position;
  • measure the length of the segment from the floor to the center of the headlight;
  • turn on the low beam headlights.

After this, you can proceed directly to the adjustment, and this must be done separately for each flashlight. The second one should be covered with some kind of rag at this time. We change the position of the light beams using the controls on the headlight housing until it matches the diagram on the wall.

When the light is within certain boundaries outlined according to the diagram, then the headlight adjustment can be considered complete. Note that if the low beams are adjusted correctly, then the high beams will work correctly. On the Ford Focus 2 restyling, the adjustment is performed according to the same scheme.

So, to summarize, we can say that adjusting the headlights is an important and necessary event that you can do yourself. Thanks to the correct adjustment of the optics, road safety is ensured at night. If the headlights shine poorly, this can lead to an emergency situation and an accident. Timely adjustment can save you from such troubles.

Adjusting headlights on Ford Focus 2 correctly (restyling)

Visibility at night depends not only and not so much on the type and power of the lamps installed in the headlight, but to a greater extent on adjusting the angle of direction of the light flux. If the lamps are installed correctly and their power meets the manufacturer's requirements, but the headlights do not illuminate the road and blind oncoming drivers even in low beam, adjustment is necessary.

Adjust it yourself or in the service

Adjusting the Ford Focus 2 headlights at a service center can cost 1000-2000 rubles. However, the check costs much less - 200-300 rubles. To save money, you can carry out the setup work yourself, and at the service center you can additionally check the angles of the head light on a special stand.

Despite its simplicity, adjusting the headlights is a very important and responsible job, on which the safety of not only the car owner, but also other vehicles depends. That is why, after completing the setup yourself, you still need to stop by a service station and do an express check.

Headlights on any car play a vital role, because in the dark they illuminate the road and allow you to move safely, avoid obstacles and simply navigate your surroundings. The standard optics on the Ford Focus 2 are made quite well, and the headlights shine well. However, over time, the light may become less bright and not illuminate the road enough. The problem may be that the optics need adjustment. How to adjust the headlights on a Ford Focus 2? Can I do this myself? Yes, and we will tell you in detail what needs to be done.

Let us immediately note that you cannot ignore the light adjustment. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, he will not be able to pass the technical inspection, since the car will be considered faulty. Secondly, driving with poor light is simply dangerous for the driver and others. If a sufficient portion of the road is not illuminated, the driver may not immediately react to an obstacle. On the other hand, if the light is adjusted incorrectly and blinds oncoming drivers, this can lead to unintended consequences.

Of course, it is best to have the light adjusted by specialists who can optimally adjust the optics. However, this process is quite simple, and therefore you can do it yourself. The beams are adjusted using special regulators that change the direction of the light flux in the horizontal or vertical plane.

Light adjustment on the second generation Focus must be carried out under certain conditions. The car must be in running order and have a filled tank .

There must also be a driver and one passenger in the car. The headlight range control must be set to the zero position. When all conditions are met, you can begin adjusting the light.

Adjusting headlights and foglights

PTF, headlight, light adjustment, headlight light, PTF light, headlight adjustment, PTF adjustment, headlight range control

For me, like many here, it turned out that the low beam beams were not optimally set. Even with the corrector raised to the maximum, the headlights shone very low and not far away. Driving like this is dangerous! About 20 meters away there was no longer any road lighting. Naturally, the speed also drops, so you can easily fly into a ditch or not notice a person on the road or a cyclist in time, which almost happened to me. Apparently at the factory, and even in the salon, they don’t consider it necessary to spend time on this. Go to the dealer for this procedure 60 km away. and I’m not ready to kill the day for this. You can do this procedure yourself in 5 minutes. The adjustment screws are visible from the top; they look like white plugs with a 7mm hex hole. You need to look at the headlight from above in the place where the black plastic of the headlight housing forms a corner. The white round screws are at the bottom, sort of at the bottom. For left-right adjustment there are other screws located differently. I used a TORX 45 wrench instead of a hex wrench and it fits perfectly. It is better to make adjustments in the dark, on a flat road. By the way, you didn’t need a flashlight; these screws can be seen through when the low beam is on. I set the low beam a little higher, but so as not to blind oncoming people and to drive comfortably myself. In the photo (the car is not mine, I found it as an example), the yellow arrows show where to look from above to find the screws.

Clearly, things need to be handled wisely and slowly.

- “And how can you understand that you are not blinding oncoming traffic?”

If you are blinded, they blink far away. Not the first year behind the wheel.

quote:
how did you determine that the headlights are shining low?

I think it’s enough to stand next to a car whose headlights are adjusted according to the instrument and see who’s lights are further and who’s shining closer. You can also use the old fashioned method, it’s not ideal, but you won’t find anything better for free: Click here with your mouse

In fact, the headlights are not always the same. And to be completely punctual, there are a number of factors that influence the position of the headlights: tire pressure, the condition of the front suspension coil springs, the difference in the spring forces of the front and rear suspensions. All these factors are variable, so headlights must be constantly checked and adjusted if necessary. Even the number of passengers and a loaded trunk changes the height of the light. Here is one way to self-adjust:

Check and adjust the headlights when the vehicle is equipped (with a fully filled fuel tank, a set of tools and a spare wheel)

1. Pre-check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure to normal.

2. Place the car perpendicular to a smooth wall (for example, a garage) at a distance of 3 m. Place an additional weight weighing 75 kg on the driver’s seat. Mark the screen on the wall as shown in Fig. The longitudinal plane of symmetry of the car should pass along line 0 on the screen. Rock the car sideways so that the suspension springs self-align.

3. Measure the height of the headlight centers to the floor on the vehicle. This will be the distance h on the screen.

4. Set the headlight electric adjustment control on the instrument panel to position “0”, corresponding to the load of a car with one driver or with a driver and a passenger in the front seat.

5. Turn on low beam.

6. It is recommended to adjust the direction of the light spot for each headlight separately. Cover the second headlight with opaque material during adjustment.

7. If the location of the light spots does not correspond to the picture, move the brightest parts of the light beams to the intersection points of the lines on the screen using the vertical or horizontal adjustment screws, respectively.

8. The headlights are considered adjusted when the upper boundaries of the left parts of the light spots coincide with line 4 (see figure), and the vertical lines 1 and 2 pass through the intersection points E1 and E2 of the horizontal and inclined sections of the light spots.

Adjusting the headlights of a Ford Focus 2 car

Proper adjustment of headlights on a car plays a very important role. The quality of visibility in the dark, as well as in bad weather: rain, snow or fog, directly depends on this factor. With incorrectly adjusted headlights, the beam of light creates a curtain that blinds both the driver and those moving towards him. This creates a dangerous situation on the road, threatening the safety of the driver and nearby vehicles and pedestrians.

In order to avoid emergency situations and not endanger the lives of drivers and pedestrians, proper adjustment of low and high beam headlights is necessary.

If a sufficient portion of the road is not illuminated, the driver may not immediately react to an obstacle. We measure the distance from the center of the headlights to the floor surface.

It corresponds to the h value on the wall. We set the electric corrector regulator on the dashboard to the zero position.

Turn on the low beam lights. The adjustment is performed for each lamp separately.

The other one can be covered with clean matter at this time. The adjustment screws are located on top of the headlight unit - they are hexagonal. One of them is responsible for horizontal adjustment, the other for vertical adjustment. We adjust until the light beams on the wall fully correspond to the applied diagram.

  1. Before starting work, be sure to ensure the required air pressure in the tires - this affects the height of the lights above the road surface.
  2. We park the car in front of a wall with a smooth surface. The distance should be about 3 m. We place a load on the driver’s seat, the mass of which is about 75 kilograms. We draw markings on the wall similar to those shown in the diagram. The transverse axis of symmetry should be on the zero line of the screen. Next, you need to rock the car so that the suspension springs find their position.

The Ford Focus 2 lighting control unit is located to the left and below the steering wheel. Specifically on my Focus in the Trend configuration, it includes, in addition to the standard functions of controlling the dimensions, low and high beams, parking lights and rear fog lights, also an electric corrector of light beams.

In a lower configuration, the unit comes without a light corrector

By the way, you can buy a Ford Focus 2 headlight switch with a headlight corrector used for 500 rubles, a new original one - the price will be on average 2500 rubles or 1600 rubles without a light regulator.

The car is a 2005 and I have not had any problems with electrical or control units. I just replaced the side and low beam bulbs and a couple of fuses.

The Ford Focus 2 light switch has only 6 positions, 2 of which are responsible for the fog lights. And so, in the switch position at 0 (in a strictly vertical position), all lights are turned off. In the photo above, the switch is turned to turn on the parking lights (1 o'clock direction). Front and rear lights included...

I'm going to change the dimensions to white-moonlight

Regardless of any light mode that is turned on, we can additionally turn on the fog lights. If we pull the switch one click, the front PTFs will turn on (if, of course, the fog lights are installed).

Don't pull too hard or carelessly, you'll break it... The switch works very clearly.

It’s not worth changing this light to “collective farm xenon” or anything else. This color of lamps best illuminates the road in fog.

In order to turn on the rear fog lights, you need to pull the switch out one more click.

Rear PTFs are quite clearly visible in bad weather

To turn on the main headlights, you need to turn the switch to 2 o'clock, as can be seen in the photo below.

There are several useful and pleasant functions, including parking lights or parking lights. By the way, it only works when the engine is turned off and does not work when the ignition is on, in order to save energy. You can take the key out of the lock, and the lights will be on and the car will be visible. To do this, you need to press the switch inward and turn it to the left counterclockwise.

The question may arise - why are they? After all, you can turn on the emergency lights or the dimensions. Unlike the dimensions, this option does not consume power to illuminate the license plate, instrument panel and illumination of the Ford Focus 2 light control unit itself. And compared to the emergency lights, it consumes less energy.
